Yes, a very good thing! It's also good they are airing the episodes everyday starting next week.

But you see it is a good thing for people like me who got into the show then lost track of it and missed 97% of the episodes.

Well you're not helping the show out any by doing that. The higher the DVD sales, the longer a show stays around. Simple as that.

Oh, and speaking of news, here some for you:

That was a really sucky title but anyway. Avatar "Secret of the Fire Nation" scored 4.1 million viewers for the original airing last Friday night, making it the most-watched scripted series on ALL Cable last week. ESPN's Monday Night Football and USA's WWE Raw were the only programs to score more viewers last week on cable than Avatar. Avatar easily won it's time slot, scoring a 2.5 rating, which blew away every other show airing in the Friday 8 pm ET slot.

This is wonderful news. All the promotion Nick did for this movie really paid off.

Well season 2 hasn't aired here yet so i'm downloading it and rewatch it when it airs here
so i'm stil helping out a bit...
Also in my country only dubbed episodes air and i got to say they could have done a better job cuz most jokes and stuff are poorly dubbed and the voices aren't as good as in the original.
to support my arguments of downloading the episodes

ps: no i can't download the dubs in my language so kinda bound to watch it on the tv anyway.

If I had money I would buy it! I don't consider it stealing on my part since I would never buy it in the first place. Although when a translated "crest of the stars" novel appeared for $7 I had to buy it, so maybe just maybe if I sold my blood I would have enough money left over to buy the avatar s1 dvd.

Huh? So if you go into a store and steal a video game, and get caught, you think the police will let you go with your reasoning being, "I wasn't going to buy it, so it's not stealing!". Nope, that doesn't fly AT ALL. Stealing is taking something without permission, and even if you'd never buy it, it's still stealing and illegal.
