Welcome aboard!??You are in good??company??with those of us who also LOVE Avatar!
Here's what we know so far:
Book 2, Volume 1 releases to DVD January 23, 2007 in the US.
Book 2, Volume 2 releases to DVD April 10, 2007 in the US.
Keep in mind that unlike the Season 1 DVDs the Season 2 sets??include FIVE episodes on each DVD??instead of the previous four. So that's a bit of a bonus in getting more episodes more??quickly!
Here is a link to Avatarspirit.net to see the cover art:

The above posters are right. If you want to see episodes before the DVDs are released your best bets are the following:
1. Youtube.com or http://youtube.com/results?search_query=Avatar%3A+The+Last+Airbender??
Keep in??mind the pickin's are slim on YouTube.com since Google bought it out. It used to be that??you could find literally every Season 1 & 2 episode on this site.??Now you will be??VERY lucky to find even recent episodes. Actually if you do find an episode on this site you should be VERY grateful to the person who posted it for you. They did it at great risk to themselves because most likely they will be eventually banned??for posting it because it's copyright material??and will lose their Youtube.com membership as a result. Unfortunately for those in foreign countries??or without cable this site??was the only way for them??to see Avatar. However Youtube.com is a good place to find Avatar fan videos and they vary from the very serious to hilariously funny and are usually very good because they are made by fans just like you and me!
2. TurboNick on Nick.com or http://www.nick.com/turbonick/
It used to be that??there were very few full-length or very few recent full-length episodes posted on Nickelodeon's??website??but I think because they saw how??many people would fly to Youtube.com after new??episodes aired to watch them??again and again that they got smart and started??making??them available on their own site. And when I say Avatar fans would fly to Youtube.com to watch new episodes I mean some episode videos??would literally rake in more??than 10,000 views??in a matter of??only an??hour??or two!
3. If you can't find them on Youtube.com??or on??TurboNick you can read episode details here on TV.com. Each and?? every episode has an episode summary and reviews which are written by TV.com users. Yes I know that pales in??comparison to actually seeing the episodes??but hey it's??better than nothing??until they come out on DVD. A lot of us recorded the episodes to our computers or to disk??using?? a DVR from the television. You may find a kind??soul will to share them with you but keep in mind that no one has the legal rights to Avatar episodes save Nickelodeon.
Hope that helps!
Welcome to forum!

What Avatar fans need to do is come up with a code name for Avatar episodes on Youtube. I think the term @Gold will work. |

That's a brilliant idea Miroku...seriously it is. Some of them have gotten more sophisticated and have NOT labled their episodes with any Avatar tags....instead they will title their video '219 & 220' to mean Season 2, Episodes 19 and 20. Brave souls.
The sad thing is and I have written this in many a Youtube.com comment line,??is that we would BUY more DVDs if they would just make them available to purchase. We cannot BUY what they have not released to DVD. And that's the truth.
Every fan wants Avatar to do well in the marketplace. We all want Nickelodeon to make money. Why? Because when Nick makes money our beloved creators Mike Double-D and Bryan K. get paid and provide for??their families and are given fair compensation for their hard work in creating??the world we love. And when the creators get??paid, the??staff writers get paid and so do the animators??and so??on.??
So if anything the repeated viewing of episode vids on Youtube.com is Nickelodeon and Viacom's chance to have their finger on the pulse??of the fanbase, which by the way is NOTHING like their target demographic. In just this thread alone I would wager?? we are all older than the 9-14 year-old alleged Avatar audience.
If you make it, they will come. That is the adage Nick needs??to follow with Avatar. I don't know about your hometown but our Toys R' Us could not keep Avatar items on the shelf?? during the holiday season.?? And my husband??literally??grabbed??the LAST Avatar Roku and Spirit Dragon set??at Wal-Mart??one night just in time for Santa.
The point??is the popularity of Youtube.com should be??sending Nickelodeon a clear message that AVATAR is now?? their crown jewel and??not SpongeBob.

If you want a virus that is. I suggest "driving" to the "store" at 100 "MPH" south on Torrent Road, and pick up a copy. Sometimes you run into high traffic in the "series of tubes" and you can only go 8 "MPH" this can take days. But I assure you it is worth the "drive" and the store almost always has a copy. |
