    And about the idea of aang having kids, wouldn't that like...dilude the airbending gene

    Yes... I agree. I went on wikianswers.com and asked how do you earthbend. It told me how to use all four elements... now I'm the next Avatar... lol.

    you cant learn it!!!! duh....then Aang would've had Appa teach someone by now!!!! it has to be genetic!!!! or something like that...but what i dont understand...is if it's genetic and someone had like....a great grandfather who was an airbender???? im sure there would be some other airbender out there who was born with airbending powers who is like Zuko's age......idk...maybe your direct parents have to be airbenders so that you have a chance at being an airbender....even though your ancestors have had airbending powers....still....i dont think that would happen....

    Hm... I wonder with the evolution of the human race, if this could be possible within many years. Also with genetic engineering that should be readily available to the public by the year 2020, therefore allowing expecting couples to genetically customize and enhance their children. Along with bionic prosthetics anything could be possible . The future of genetic engineering could possibly cause evolution to take entirely different courses, and cause huge genetic changes over the course of one generation. Possibly causing superhumans. The future of genetic engineering could cause the human race to divide into many sub-species by the year 2030. Currently genetic engineering already allows people to become immune or resistant to certain diseases, or customize their appearance such as eye color and hair color. Who knows, maybe within many years we will all be able to bend the elements .

    its a genetic quark they jsut learned how to do it form the stuff that already could but they still need the natural talent (ie. Katara could rip away at icebergs but couldn't control it) and its just a genetic thing being able to bend, like blue eyes or red hair, so it just works like any other gene, and why the hell would none of the air guys survive aang can fly through fleets on his bison and not one can escape a bunch of ground troops on a sky temple

    if aang had a kid with katara and they planed it to make sure the baby would be born in the fall to enhance the chance of the child to become an airbender waalaa airbending baby.

All you would need is to find bpeople like this and the Air nomad culture can be reborn.

    Also, estimated time in years for an Airbender repopulus would range from math (1 air kids:20 yrs Couple life(X variablelifetimesXsquared.45656)/1,000 new populus airnomads.....

    ...

    8,456 years for the airnomads to repopulate.

    So that means, there is hope, If katara only has Airbender babies...
