Of the 4 nations, the only ruler who could bend was the Firelord. Earth King; nadda. Water Chief; zip. Air ?; I don't think they even had rulers so they don't count. Now Ozai gets to join them in their nonbending glory.

I never even noticed that until you brought it up. Oh cruel irony.

is it really fair to call the earth king a ruler though, he acted more like a mayor

Mayors rule over people, do they not? Ergo ruler. Not to mention Ba Sing Se is mentioned several times as being the capital of the Earth Kingdom, making him the head mayor.

Ooo. Someones a little ignorant on the system of government I see.

The things you are refering to are city laws, which govern your life. He who sets the rules rules.

No wait, Bumi! He's king of Omashu and he bends. so now he's the sole bending ruler. (not counting Zuko b/c he jsut joined the ruling ranks recently {try saying that 5 times fast})

Bumi is a ruler, but he's not the HEAD ruler of the Earth Kingdom, which is kind of like a feudalistic style of government where the head honcho gives land to his generals or other nobles who govern the land independently but (theoretically) swear loyalty to said honcho.

He's still a king that bends.

Yes, he is a king, but he answers to a more powerful king (politically), AKA the Earth King. The rulers of the other nations answer to no superiors.

Zuko escaped Katara's freezing moves-twice, and he was just learning the basics at the beginning of the show, while the prodigy Azula couldn't escape Katara's Octupus move at the end of Book2 and the freeze bubble at the end of Book 3.

Be fair - Zuko was never encased completely - he always retained some movement (and breathing) abilities.

For me, the most ironic scene in all of Avatar has to be the Zuko/Jet/Iroh thing that happened in Ba Sing Se.

How Mike and Bryan seemed to have been baiting the Zutara-shippers until the last possible minute.

They weren't baiting them. Okay, mabye they were. That NYCC trailer for the second half of Season 2 was obviously designed to whip Zutara fans into a frenzy. But there was never any baiting in the actual show. Anything that the Zutarians might have seen in the show that they take to be baiting is a prime example of the phrase "people see what they want to see".

I just thought it was hilarious how much screen-time Katara and Zuko got together, especially in the series finale with their own separate plot-line, and then Aang and Katara got together in the last few minutes.

Don't get me wrong, I thought they would end up together all along and I like Aang and Katara as a couple, nor do I mean to insult any Zutarians. It was just an observation I made.
