    First off, **** Jin.

That aside, I don't think Zuko will exactly choose to betray his father and join Aang, it'll be more of a "Zuko goes into the throne room to confront his dad, Ozai decides to kill his failure of a son, Zuko knows what he must do right as Aang comes into the room" situation.

Zuko: "You have one chance at this Avatar and one only. But once he's down, we'll finish our own fight."
Aang: "I was just trying to find the bathroom..."

If you guys think that Zuko is going to teach Aang, I think you're wrong. I am a firm believer that Zuko is so intent on capturing Aang and going back to his country that he wouldn't even think about teaching him. Iroh has a slim chance. I truly believe that Jeong Jeong will show up. It makes perfect sense. Think about it. I've said this many times.
I completely agree with you. Zuko won't just become friends with Aang out of nowhere and I definitely don't want to see that. It'll get way too cheesy. I think there's a chance that the Fire Sages will return in a future episode and teach him after deciding to be only loyal to the Avatar after getting arrested by Zhao.

Zuko gets plenty of screen time.

yeah windseeker, you'd think being banished by his dad would be enough. Maybe he'll have a choice between his dad or Iroh (in which case he'd choose Iroh).

    or would he?

uh.... Zuko gets a lot of focus, in SOTFN he got a bunch, same with ALD (he got as much as Aang), and TOBSS (=aang). He doesnt always, but usually, plus, he is in Lake Laogai a lot, and TEK also.

He does get a substantial amount of screen time for someone who still is technically a minor character. I would be happy with what we have until he's added into the fold as a party member, even if it is for only the final battle.

honestly I would have Zuko get less focus. The Zuko "tales" segment was just terrible. It was just an easy way to get fans interested with horrible cliche's and a complete mary sue. Why in fanfiction zuko is always paired with a Mary Sue. Song is one, Jin and to a lesser extent Katara.

    Thank you! THANK YOU!!!

Oh my god, Jen is a bad "love interest". Zuko needs a tough, spirited warrior woman who wants nothing to do with him. EG, Katara.

Let's NOT see Zuko join up with Aang. That 'villain befriends main character' cliche would not be a good thing for Avatar.

It would, sure. But they're pretty obviously getting closer to it with each episode.

I disagree. Avatar is very unpredictable so I seriously??doubt that they would do that.

What's wrong with Zuko joining Aang? It's been shown from the beginning that Zuko wasn't really a bad guy. To me it seems like the only way Zuko can remain in the story much longer. If he stops looking for Aang. If he abandons his quest for honor.(I don't mean by continuing the hunt for Aang) They have no reason to keep him in the show past season two. He might as well be a side character they run into from time to time.

Even if his joining Aang is a cliche. Cliches are used over and over for a reason. They Make d*** good stories.

I didn't think the writers would endanger Suki because it paralleled last season's arc with the Water Tribe Princess, but they did. Maybe we're giving the show too much credit.

I wouldn't care what he does as long as they do a good job with it.
It being cliche doesn't make it bad since everything is cliche.(Hence cliche is a very bad excuse)
Whatever the idea is, how it will be done will hopefully be good.

I think that Zuko is a good focus and his segments are very well-done. I'd like to steer away from him going the main squad though. It doesn't gel me as sitting right. I can see Zuko being more of a vigilante-type, turning down the offer to join Aang because he has his own business with his father, only to get sidetracked with Azula.

Yes...I'm a Zuko fangirl and even I think we have just the right balance of character focus...there's enough of the mains to keep everyone happy Of course, if your favourite isn't one of the mains...
