Ok i got the game 2 days ago (don't ask how) and it is really bad.

Ok here is how bad the game is.
    Visuals:
Graphics are hardly 3-D (in fact much of the game is 2-D.)
you always see the game from above, like in a strategy game.
The landscape and terrain looks like a drawing or a painting, seriously just like a bad painting. The characters are in 3-D but, it looks like the 3-d from 10 years ago.

    Interface:

The menus are extremely simple, its just gives you the option of a new game, load game and extras. It has no setting options! you can't change resolution, graphics, or controls.

    Story:

If you watched the book 1, you will find the game's story extremely boring, you'll have to listen again to the dialogue, but with out the action and fun of the show. You start in Kyoshi island and you have to make your way to the north pole.

    Gameplay:

This is the worst part, you do not have any freedom at all!! you have to follow a predetermined path, the characters move very slow, and you have too little moves and attacks. most of the missions consist of killing lots of little creatures in your path using you bending powers or weapons.

    Sound:

Really?? bad sound, we almost don't hear those beautiful songs from the show. disappointing.

    Conclusion

This game looks like the old??RPGs except it does not have any??RPG concept, no upgrades or anything. Its just you killing creatures for a really long time. It really hurt me having to play it, but I wanted to give you a review before it came out! Do not buy it, this game could only appeal to really young children who have not seen all the episode as a dedicated fan. I really believe there are better Avatar game on Nick.com, this is just a waste of money and hard drive space. I un-installed it already.

I really think they should not charge money for crap like this, this is just a money-making technique that uses the show's popularity to sell crap. Pleas spend your money wisely and go buy a real game. This is a really disappointing tittle, it is sad that it has "Avatar" as it's name.

NO! Avatar's first horrific failure was its first game. It sounds awful. I thought it didn't look that bad, the screencaps. But now that I hear the plot, it does sound awful. And no Toph. If Toph was in the game, I'd get it. But no, it sounds awful.

I don't care if you said not to, I have to ask where you got it. If you're playing it before it's been released, then you've got an illegal copy. Not only is that bad in and of itself, but perhaps the graphics are bad because of that. I'm going to reserve judgement until I have a legal copy in my own hands, not based on what someone else says.

Even though I am going to check out this game for myself, I believe Nick had to screw up Avatar somewhere along the line??

Do as you wish! the gaphis in my version are the same as in the final?? release because my version IS the final release, and i compared my visuals to the screenshots, It is just that i got the game before it was shipped to stores. If you want to waste you money, it's not my problem

Same here. Plus, graphics mean ABSOLUTELY nothing to me. I mean, I still use my N64 and Sega genesis. Wanna talk about bad graphics It would be an improvement! I don't even have any newer game systems, so I'd have to borrow one of my brother's

    1. My name's not wendy, no more than your's is qweasy.
    2. If he were a professional game reviewer, why would he put "Don't ask me how" Seems suspicious to me. I would have accepted, "it's my job", and just dropped it. Why hide under which circumstances he got the game, unless there's a reason?
    3. Games cost nick a lot more money...it's like ripping a movie compared to a 10 minute tv clip. Not to mention, I've bought ever single dvd as it's come out. The pilot was simply an extra I had no acess to. The dvds in and of themselves set me back 100, collectivly ($20 a piece)

This is exactly why I did not want to post my review here. If you think i am lying or that i don't have the final version of the game, then go buy it. I'm not the one who is going to waste money. I just wanted you to Take a smart decision.

I never had huge expectations at all.?? The show is geared towards preteen boys.?? Of course it's not going to be up to the standards of Halo or Kingdom Hearts.?? Children aren't expected to be overly concerned about state of the art graphics, intricate storylines, or challenging gameplay.?? I just want a game that I can enjoy and play for small quick sessions.?? The better made games are good, but a single session can take hours.

You also have to realize that they have to push the game out fast to capitalize on the popularity of the show.?? The He-Man cartoon from 2002 was having a game created for it that was looking really good.?? And then they cancelled the show and had to scrap the game.

Like I said, saw it coming. Can't wait for that review. On an off note, I don't know how many times the creators have to say, "We designed it for by everyone" before it takes effect. Goddamn logo. But anyway yeah its pretty obvious who the target is in regards to the games.

Look at it this way. Most games based on movies, TV shows, or anime tend to suck.

Goldeneye for the N64 may have broken this rule but many games still are crappy.

K, the version of the game that Leodegarioiii got was the PC version. Which is significantly different then the GC or PS2 versions. I got the game yesterday and im pretty sure we used the same "methods" to obtain it. Say what you will about me stealing but you couldn't pay me to play this game again.

This game is bad, no matter what age you are it's just bad. Everything about it is poor, the graphics, gameplay, sound, ect. I could hardly believe that a professional company made this game. It looks like something a student would make.

I can only hope the PS2/GC is better.
