    Nice theory, but...

I don't agree that she should use her spirit water just yet, because it is so precious, and Zuko has been their enemy for a long time, and...

I don't think that the healing should take Zuko's scar away. That is a very interesting characteristic that makes him so unique. It would be like taking away Sokka's boomerang, or Katar's hair loopies, or Toph's ear band, or Aang's arrow!

Mmm... well I can tell that you thought this out and didn't just post some random epiphany. However, your scenario with the drills is too similar to book 1's finale. Having an invasion for a finale of a season is a good way to keep a show going, but you can only do it once... Also, I never liked the drill. I was kinda disappointed with that. I thought that they were building something that would SERIOUSLY change the whole storyline, as in maybe something like a giant robot (Optimus Prime! JK) or maybe some sort of weapon, like an actual long-range gun or laser or something... Maybe something like the Mako Cannon from FF7.
    Arg, I'm getting off-topic... lol
Nevermind me, I'm having a brainfart..

Yeah, that would be great. They found them after the battle in The Northern Air Temple.

Hmm... You know, you make a good point. The Fire Nation now has the Hot Air Baloon which they used in the Northern Air Temple, but it has yet to be introduced to the story in the possession of the Fire Nation. It could be a very deadly weapon... although I still want the finale of this book to be more than just another Fire Nation invasion... but good point.

This doesn't seem like it would make a very exciting finale. Most of it is a compelation of previous events. Azula fireing lightning at Zuko like she did to Iroh in "The Chase." The massive army of drills is like a cross between the drill we previously saw and the attack on the Northern Air Temple in season one.?? Most importantly the last season ended with Aang going to the spirit world and speaking to Koh.?? There are a few things that will need to be resolved before the season ends: Finding Appa, meeting the Guru, talking to the earth king, the solar eclipse. Other then that I'm not sure what the writers will decide to do, but they may use this as a spring board into the third season.?? If you've seen the second Pirates of the Carribean, it may be like that.

Maybe there would be this massive Siege on the Earth Kingdom Capital, like Iroh's which lasted 600 days. Aang would go to the spirit world and speak with KOH again, and he would find the Earth Spirit to help them.

I'd Find it Ironic if the firenation decided to use Hot Air Balloons in a siege against Ba Sing Se if the Avatar was there, seeing as how??Aang is an Air Bending Master already it wouldn't be very logical to employ the use of any machine that harnessed the power of air.

Even though i would like to see Koh again, i think it would be way to similar to final episodes to book 1. They would probably end on a cliffhanger to build up suspence for book 3 which sucks for me, i won't be able to function untill season 3 comes out, I NEED CLOSURE!

Maybe, but attacking??a city full of earth benders when you're on the ground isn't the easiest thing to do either.

it's a good idea but unfortunately it's too similar to the ending of book 1 so i don't think it would go down well with fans! but i like the whole getting in touch with the earth spirit thing! but i doubt it would be at the air temple cos well it's an earth spirit so you would have thought it would be at an earth temple. but that's just my opinion!

Well, yeah, but if they were going to lead an invasion, I'd be almost positive that they would make more... it's common sense.

There's very little originality in your idea. It's like you cut and pasted from different episodes and fudged a few details.

A finale needs to be exciting. It brings closure, but, at the same time, it either shows us a new problem, or reminds us of an older, unresolved one. It needs to wow. And there is not enough of that. Part of the wow factor is originality, which this lacks.

Secondly, the characters are not really in character. Zuko especially. It acts like you just dropped him in to join the group and didn't bother to explain the details. You kinda threw Mai and Ty Lee in there and dropped them off. Katara also knows the Spirit Water is precious. We have no idea what it is for, and if it was healing, why wouldn't she use it on a certain spoiler character in the Lake Laogai episode?

The whole Earth Spirit and Koh thing is practically a direct plagarism of Siege of the North. I don't think this would make a good fanfic or ending. It would be too predictable. We've seen it before.

    SPOILERS!

I was looking at a blog posted by someone about their visit to a convention in CA. They went to an Avatar seminar and went to tons of different workshops. They said that in the finale, Katara and Zuko would be caved in, well, a cave. But, it wouldn't be what you think: They wouldn't fall in love or anything. No Zutara. At least not yet. Other than that, I don't know anything about the finale, but we can still speculate.

    SPECULATION.

It is kind of 'plagarism' of the Siege of the north. But if you're talking technical, it's not really plagarizing. That would be stealing someone's idea. The creators also wrote the Siege of the North. Anyway, there could still be a siege. Or, we could go down to Omashu, and clear out the rebels. Personally, I think that this finale isn't going to be as exciting as the 1st. Not to be pessimistic or anything, but it could be. I think they just need to quiet down from all of the action and everything.
