Toph was?? dumbfounded. "Iroh?" she asked. "Yes, its me." he said. "How did you get here?" she asked again. "Not now, your friend is making quite a show, and we need to get you to safety." Iroh replied. Toph turned and looked in the direction of the fight as Iroh led her away. "Dak..." she said as they went further and further from him.

Iroh wasn't kidding when he said that Dak was making a show. The first soldier he reached had the reward of getting his throat slashed. He rounded on the next soldier and crouched. As he jumped up, he corkscrewed into the air, slashing at this mans throat also. Another soldier was there so he continued upward and brought his knee out, knocking the man out instantly. When he landed he boosted himself forward with a controlled explosion. He went streaking toward the next soldier, tackling him to the ground and snapping his neck sideways. He stood up and stood with his right side facing the rest of the group. He brought his right hand to his left shoulder, then snapped it forward like he was backhanding someone. The resulting fire blast shot towards the group like an angry dragon, torching the first line and scattering the rest. He picked his foot up like a crane and brought it down kicking the ground, making a wave of fire that only three soldiers had enough sense to block.

Now, 4 men were dead, 10 were burning to death, and 1 was out cold. He looked at the remaining three with a wicked smile on his face. As they began to run, he decided they wouldn't be allowed to live. He made a fist with both hands, leaving the middle and forefingers up, brought them to his chest, then stabbed the air three times. The candle sized fireblasts were faster than arrows, and much more deadly. As the three soldiers dropped, a dot of blood coming from the center of eache's forehead, the voice was pleased. Good, boy, very good. That was deplorable and wrong. Dak stopped gloating about the 17 men he had just killed and tried to remember why he had done it. "Toph!" he said. He looked around. "Toph?" she wasn't anywhere to be found. "TOPH!" he yelled, slumping to the ground. He had failed.

Toph, in fact, was fine. Better than fine, she was having some of Iroh's famous tea, wearing nice, clean clothes,??and getting a top-notch first aid job for her shoulder. "Iroh, where are we going after we get out?" she asked. "Well, the rebels are spread throughout the woods outside the city. They will find us. I am in it as well, as an insider." he replied. "I have many friends here and yours will know where you are, I sent a messenger to give him a letter. A friend of his actually." he chuckled. "There, thats much better, isn't it?". "Yes, thank you. I hope Dak's alright." she said. "Your friend, if nothing else, can take care of himself. Besides he serves a larger purpose in this war than he thinks. Now, we need to get moving. Night travel is much better if you don't want to be noticed." he said as he handed her a traveler's cloak.
