With all the epic fail threads, I decided to make my own. So I was looking at someones sig, and it showed the mud fight between Toph and Katara. And It would stop and either say "Earth pwn" or "Water pwn". So It made me wonder "should mud be considered an Earth or Water element"

Answer the poll, and let the fail begin.

    *sigh*

It's a mix of earth and water. Hence both waterbenders and earthbenders can control it.

It's a mix of both so both benders can control it. Though if it's more watery, runny mud, it'd be more water. If it was thick, it'd be more earth.

Mud? why must people create threads that can be simply answered in the Q and A thread?

Well mud is dirt or sand that is saturated, so their control over it would be equal. But a smart fighter would merely seperate their own element from the mud and then use it against their enemy.

There are certain advantages for a waterbender in using mud instead of pure water though. For example: spraying it over an opponent to temporarily blind them and bog them down.
