    The reason Naruto is so popular is BECAUSE it doesn't have much of an intricat plot. (It only seems complicated cause it's erratic.... Everyone has a back-story... but the back stories are sparate and fairly usless, except for the character they pertain to) it's one of those shows you watch where you can miss a couple hand-ful of episodes and still get what's going on... Cause nothing much ever changes.

    In avatar everyone's back-stories are Interwoven... It makes it a bit deeper. And thusly, the watchers are more commited to connecting the dots. And to do that they need to watch all the episodes (Can't really miss a few).

    That's true. Naruto is only popular because everyone can get into it easily, like every other shonen anime out there.

    I missed the Great Divide, how will I ever understand the plot now?!?! Seeing as though we're on a hiatus it's pretty good that we're in the top 3 animation, but a few months ago when Nicked aired the episodes and DOBS leaked we were in the top 3 overall (all categories) several times.

    In the Kid's Choice Awards, Avatar beat all the other shows in the Animation catagory. That made me so happy!

    I'm really glad that Avatar is one of the most popular animation shows here, its awesome!

    .. but seriously... what's so special about Family guy and Naruto? 0.o They don't rank anywhere near Avatar...

    I agree with you, but try asking that on the Naruto boards. I'm sure they'll have plenty of reasons! Avatar is an American cartoon, and most teenagers/adults don't like to admit to watching it. Anime is accepted watching for teenagers/adults.

    I just can't believe Naruto is number 1. I hate that show so much.

    Family Guy is also a awful show. What is the world coming too?

    On topic : I don't hate Naruto i just don't like it ! My friends are SUPER NARUTO FANS and they try to get me into it but i got annoyed with the fights . GOD they are like 3-4 episodes long !!!!

    OMG my friends tried to do that to me too. They are suck Naruto nerds. I think the show lacks creativity and story lines.

    Comic books that become anime shows tend to attract large audiences, like Dragon Ball and Yu-Gi-oh, man Yu-gi-oh was huge, and it sucks so bad too.

    They are called manga not comics. I quite liked Dragonball and Yu-Gi-Oh I used to like but I can't see why now.

    I like Naruto (but not the Amarican and German Version [the German Version CRAP]) but I like Avatar more. XD

    But Naruto Abridged is much better than Avatar Abridged

    Family guy makes no intellectual sense...and I guess Naruto it pretty good..but there are WAY too many episodes....
