If you have watched Lake Laogai, then you would see at the end of this episode, Long Feng is thrown out into a lake. He flew about 100 feet skipping across the water!! How could he survive that? Seems to me he would at least be hurt as much as Jet. Give me your thought's.

A bit shaken up but no worse for the wear after landing in water. Plus you'know "The kids battle Long Feng and the Dai Li when they attempt to show the Earth King the vast conspiracy taking place in his city." I'm just going with that.

Have any of you crashed going fast doing water sports. It hurts like crazy. One of my friends got a bad concusion from a fall less hard then Long Feng's.

If you mean diving that a whole nother story. True, despite what we see in the movies, a fall from a great height straight into a body water can be very painful and usually fatal. But here, Appa simply threw him across and not upwards.

cartoon physics: characters get hurt if the writers want them to. Characters survive the most outlandish things if the writers or in some cases if the FCC and TV standards and practices panels say so.

Huh, forgot about that one. Ah well, at least I don't see anyone turning into a puddle or spagetthi strands anytime soon. Either way compared to what we've seen, that toss wasn't that much.

I was thinking the same thing. He hit the water at a nasty angle at a pretty high speed. Water should have the effect of concrete if you hit it like he did.

But I'll be willing to overlook that if they give him a good beating next episode.

Katara should have bended some large jagged ice things that broke a bunch of bones. That would be the end of Long Feng ~_~

You have to take into account how much force was put into the attacks. No one on the Gaang have any intention to kill, so why hit as hard you can unless it's the fire nation? Plus, these are people who go through rigorous training. They??can survive a lot of S***

After all Appa went through, I would consider it amazing if that throw DIDN'T kill Mr. I'm-A-Jerk! I honestly hope he did, or at least paralyzed him a bit...That man deserved it!!
