we missed this apparently, there might be slightly more stuff in them than was shown in the corresponding episodes, and because it is mostly same stuff we saw, no one has made a big deal out of these

If you couldn't watch those episodes you can read them so your parents wouldn't be mad for watching tv for a long time.

We're in a really lose-lose situation with Avatar merchandise. Since the show still technically targets a 6-11 age demographic, when we do get merchandise, we get...this...

instead of doing these, if I was Bryke and Simon schuster, I would do "13 to 17" books about what happens on other places in the Avatar world

who will be ready to buy books about "North tribe reconstructing the south tribe"? or (if it happened) bumi recovering Omashu during the eclipse? or "how Hakoda found and brought the swamp people, Teo, the wrestling guys and haru to the FN for the eclipse invasion"? or "life of Suki between fight with Azula and Boiling rock episodes"? or "life of Piandao"? or "life of june"? not to mention Iroh(and jeong jeong too) and his past

I agree with tomtitan, those things are made for 3 years. Now if they could make a real novel for teenagers and adults like us that would be different.

I see no problem with having books for the kiddies ,but they need to write some for the older crowd as well. Satisfy both parts of the market.

they got a book, we got a movie. Personally, I like how this turned out. Everyone knows, it could have been the other way around.

I would of preferred a novel to a movie.

Same here. I'm not so sure about the movie...
