    The name is Miyazaki. And I don't remember an owl. Unless there was one in Pom Poko. But most of his animal characters are combinations of stuff. or made up creatures.

    Oh do you mean Totoro, cause he's part owl and raccoon, and was a movie by Miyazaki. Katara doesn't remind me of anyone. Won Shi Tong reminds me of that wise owl from the Secret of NIMH when I saw that move a long time ago.

    I love that book but Won-Shi-Ton is that Racoon owl thing.

    hes big, fluffy, has a huge mouth, and people can climb on him

    Won Shi Tong sort of reminds me of Noh Face in Spirited Away from Miyazaki. Just the way they look, though.

    Omg, Totoro brings back so many memories! xD Acutally Appa has always reminded me of the cat bus. You know with all those legs, that no one could see, and when he jumps or flies or something he reminds me of when appa lands. Ahh, just thinking of totoro gives me chills. xD

    i know my neighbor totoro was my favorite movie when i was younger i still love it though!!!!
