JET'S A FIREBENDER!! (Speculation, possible spoilers)

    I just watched the newest episode, and when Jet strikes swords with Zuko, I heard a spark sound and the room got brighter. Sparks and light are components of firebending, and two firebenders with anger issues could be emitting it in??enough quantities to be noticeable, so Jet has to be a firebender! Now, I know his parents were from the Earth Kingdom, but what if they were only adoptive parents? A firebending woman who had been exiled or ran away could??have died in the Earth Kingdom in either childbirth, or soon after, so there would be no recellection on Jet's part, nor would he have been trained firebending.

    There's only one woman I know that could possibly fit that category: ZUKO'S MOM! If this is true, then not only is Jet a firebender, but he's royalty!

    Again, this is just speculation, but it seems possible.

    That would make Jet more than a few years younger that Zuko. And they're roughly the same age.

    "Roughly" can be enough, perhaps she was already preganant with Jet.

    I don't know, she didn't look pregnant. How old was Zuko in his flashbacks? Seven? At least. His mom didn't look pregnant at that time. So if she really did have Jet sometime later, that would make him at least 7 years or so younger than Zuko. And how old is Zuko? Like Sokka's age? That would make yet 8 or so years old, and that is impossible.

    i doubt it, the light was probbly??just for dramatic effect, and??even if he did have firebending someone in the room would of noticed it

    meh. doubt it. even if zuko's mom was pregnant with another baby when she left, jet could only be about ten right now. does he look ten to you?

    and besides, that spark thing was a thematic element. if your talking about that little flash of light that came right before the scene changed? yeah, thematic element. if your talking about the sparks that fly up when he swings his swords across the ground, those are just sparks. metal + ground + friction = sparks. it happens. it's happened to zuko's swords before, and it wasn't because he was firebending.

    nice theory, and it would have been an interesting twist if zuko and jet were brothers (maybe a little too soap-opera-y for my taste, but interesting nonetheless) but it's still too far of a stretch.

    I love that theory, and I'm in total support! It would be very poetic, if Jet turned out to be the??very thing he hated. It's not impossible, and it would be something??I would expect of Avatar. Maybe it was dormant within him, and??the??attempted brainwashing is a key that will??unlock it?????

    it's possible? really? does jet look ten years old to you? it's not something you'd expect out of avatar! if this happens, avatar will have officially jumped the shark, because if this happens, the show is clearly taking flying leaps in a desperate attempt at ratings. if this happened later in the show, and there really was aq little boy who really was ten years old who really was zuko's little brother, then it starts becoming believable. but if the writers completely screwed the timeline, and started making these kinds of changes, well.... it's not a good thing.

    and how in the world is this theory "possible"?

    i am. i'm sorry, but it just doesn't fit the timeline. i think it might be . . . sort of . . . maybe possible that jet could be a firebender, but not zuko's brother. definately not zuko's brother.

    Thank you for being the voice of reason! This whole theory was started by a spark caused when metal hits metal! It's what happens. No firebending involved. Plus, oyu're completely right. The timeline would be ruined, and I'm sure the creators take that into consideration when they're writing episodes. Jet is like Katara's age, maybe Sokka's. You tell me when Ursa possibly had time to conieve Jet!
