Nickelodeon sucks for a litany of reasons. Don't get me started as the list is now quite lengthy. Mike and Bryan rule and always will because they made Avatar.
The fact is Avatar is never ever going to be appreciated for what it truly is at Nick. I think the sooner we all come to terms with that grim reality, the better off fandom will be.
I predict Avatar to become a cult classic as it's already well on its way. Unfortunately classics are rarely appreciated for their inherent worth and value until later.
Personally I've begun to quench my inner angst by beginning a defect campaign for Mike and Bryan to move on over to Disney. And while the animation gods may not be able to take Avatar with them, let's face it, without them the Avatar storyline will never know greatness.

I think Disney would turn it in to happy happy singalong funtime land, and the animation would suffer if it was moved to cartoon network (outside of Adult Swim). Besides, the other two channels are already well established. We saw how High School Musical 2 somehow became the best cable tv premiere ever. (Or so I heard). Cartoon network has a large child following during the day and a nice follow-through with Adult Swim. Nick needs Avatar. |

like i said before spongebob is nick's icon. it needs to promote other shows. they have other shows besides spongebob that are really good and popular. they need to take 11 minutes out of spongebob time and promote other shows. i havent seen a single commercial for avatar in like a month. and hardly anyother shows too. every time i tune into nick its an alantis squarepantis commercial, its been like that for over a month. theDOBS is commin out in 3 weeks. herd nothin about it.
