Possibly the thing i was looking forward to more than anything in avatar is the how they were going to show how Katara and Aang end up. I looooved it! I loved that this time Katara kissed Aang first. My heart is filled with warmness. Did you see how long they kissed too! I LOVE IT! There were many great Kataang moments throughout the show, but this, this was just poetry in motion. Katara looked so beautiful, and aang looked so innocent. And the picture of them kissing....awesome. Anyone, anyone else got sometin to say?

Maccin?! Please, it was sweet, pure love. Nothing suggestive about it. He's liked and loved her since day one. It's not like he's immediatly kissing her. Plus, she kissed him. And think about it, when they grow up, what's two years difference gonna be?

Thier kiss was totally sweet and by the one of the best scenes in the whole series. I really loved how it was the last scene of the series, it made you really happy, and sad. Very emotional and beautiful.

Agreed. I don't think they could have chosen a better scene to end with. It was just a really, really beautiful scene. I loved how Katara didn't even have to say anything to express her feelings -- the little blush, how tightly she hugged him, and how she was the one to lean in for the kiss -- it was all just like an unspoken "I love you." My heart swelled up to like the size of a melon when I saw it. It was just SO sweet.

Young boys having their needs fulfilled?! That's very disturbing. Jeez, it was just a kiss! Why's everyone getting so perverted about it? They're in love, they kissed, and happily ever after. Why do people have to turn it into something else?!

Since rabid Zutarians are liable to burst in soon angrily screaming about what the guru said, I'd like to point out something about that. According to the Guru, the whole point of unlocking the 7th chakra was to sever whatever it was that attached Aang to the world, AKA, Aang must become detached. The Guru's credo was that he was an associate of the Air Nomads, who detach themselves from the world as a way of life. But in "The Old Masters", Avatar Yang Chen said quite clearly that the avatar must never allow himself to become detached from the world, indeed, doing so was liable to invite disaster. We can assume that an avatar knows more about the AS than a guru, so that settles that.

And on topic, I quite literally cried during that kiss scene. Words like "beautiful" and "poetic" don't even begin to do it justice. It has been clear for a long time that Katara and Aang were meant to be, and they both know it. We saw in EIP that Katara understood what attachment meant; that they needed to resolve the affairs of the world before they could become distracted by eachother. But now that the war is over, there is nothing to hold them apart.

Once i stopped crying, I ran around outside screaming things like "Yes!", "Go Aang!", and "Yip Yip!" for several hours. Then I jumped into the swimming pool and spend about half an hour floating on my back crying again, mostly with joy, partly with mourning, and all with genuine feeling.
