Anyways, back to the topic. I was watching Crossroads Of Destiny (again) and taking notes of the fighting styles. Azula's fighting style has a scary alikeness to the Hyuuga Gentle Fist. Ty Lee looks a lot like Lee too. Thats all I can actually remeber....

CRoD was awsome!! But now it makes Avatar look more like starwars.

Eh, Star Wars is imbedded deep into pop culture, its gonna have a lot influence on basically everything. And in terms of the show, its always kinda been that way, I mean Mark Hamill does voice Ozai. Which kinda isn't saying that much, its pretty much all he does now, cartoon villains. He's one of "those guys", Shatner, Adam West, etc.

Neji is SO MUCH better than Azula. Azula is a horrible character who is a cliched villain. Neji is way too good to be compared to such a bad character.

I don't take it so hard on her due to seeing it in terms of technicals and archetypes. Basically, I'm too aware of the fact that??the guys behind Naruto chose to develope Neji, whereas the Avatar crew just needed to draw attention away from the fact that people were starting to figure out, "ya'know, for a villian, Zuko isn't??very cartoon villian-y."??So what??do??ya do? Bring in an even??bigger, more open, overly-laid on??villian bad??bad character.??Extra for one-liner spewing sidekicks. Really just hoping that they decided to save all that actual character developement??for the next season.

I wouldn't use copy at all. They're (Avatar, Naruto, Xiolin whatever, Captain Planet, list goes on) are just modern interpretations of foundational/traditional ideas that have been around for quite a while. As a result, people draw allusions when they're actually just inevitable similarities. Which is natural, since they're all usin the same basic idea. Oh and That's Western for Eastern its usually Earth, Fire, Water, Metal, and Wood.

Yeah, Azula is only popular because she's all evil and that's it. And her popularity is why she did so much in Season 2. They need to just kill her off. I doubt she will show that she has an actual personality because it shouldn't take that long and there's no point in trying to hope for this. They need to just kill her off and focus on Ozai.

Kinda cut and dry there don'tcha think? I mean yeah, it really doesn look like they won't??be doing anything with her, but wouldn't it be nice though???Regarding her character,??the way I've??always??seen it, one of the main influences behind Avatar is Miyazaki movies (animation, major female characters, six-legged mammals, etc), and if you've ever seen any of them, you'll notice he tries to make everyone, even the inquitutous character, as three-dimesional and admirable as possible. Perfect example: the villianess from Princess Mononoke. It'd really be nice if they did something like that with Azula, but yeah, probably not gonna happen. Ozai's not all that hot either. Eh, pun.

Speaking of Ozai, we haven't even seen his face so you can't count him out yet. Whether he will be a generic badguy or not is still unkknown. While Azula has been running around doing cliche here and there and she has barely even changed her expression. I swear she has the same look on her face 98% of the time. They need to trash this shallow girl.

And I completely understand you BUT you got to give the writers a little more credit. I doubt they would make the main villain to such a great show be a cliched baddie. We still don't even know his??REAL motives for why he wanted to be the Fire Lord in place of Iroh. I know it'll be something very interesting.
