So I was looking through the new high quality ASN screenshots and I found out A LOT.
I know this has been already partially speculated, but I feel the need to post this.

Is that a hallucination of Ursa that Azula is throuwing her comb at in her mirror?

    URSA?!

    Was Azula crying?

    Azula...crying?

    Woah.

And here's one for you...what type of haircut is that?

    Bad hairday in the finale?

But she even had a bad hair before that too? (Refer to 2nd and 3rd pictures.)

This may sound horribly cruel, but at this point I don't really care about Azula.I want her to suffer for everything she's done.

She's obviously going to go through some serious character development in the form of stress and doubting herself. Hallucinating that her mother is there will be a side effect.

Anyone else consider the possibility that Ursa really is in the mirror? As in, she's a ghost?

Nah. She can't be a ghost. She's supposedly alive right? She was just banished.

Anyone think that maybe her hair was cut because of some reason? I mean...it couldn't be a battle...could it?

in response tp your first question as to ursa's reflection being a halucination, i think that she's actually there. and maybe azulas crying because ursa's making her feel guilty for her past sins. maybe she's finally getting a conscience. i just hope she doesnt suddenly switch sides the last minute. i love her too much as a villain.

as to her crazy looking hair cut, maybe zuko singed it in an earlier fight. yeah, that'll cause her to go crazy. she's the type of person that cares a little too much about her hair. 201, 220, 309, and now the trailer footage shows how much attention is paid to her hair.

I don't think Azula will die until the finale, and definitely hope she doesn't switch sides, the final DVD description said she would become Fire Lady right?

It looks like she was mid-brush then suddenly realized how much she looked like her mother. The mid-brush part would explain the weird hair and she's mad because maybe Ozai saw Ursa as worthless and if Azula looks like Ursa then maybe her father will think she's worthless too. Isn't it weird how the Ozai-Ursa kids are the complete opposites of the parent they look most like?

a possible plot is that Azula knows "she is a monster" and there is no way that can change; than at the finale she decides to do the "right thing" the best way she sees, without her staying alive as she is a monster and might change her mind later. She sacrifices herself to save Aang from Ozai, and gives him the opening to take care of Ozai

idk about that. She's already admitted she was a monster but she said it the way most people say "Oh by the way..."

You know.. I don't think that Ursa and Azula are that different from each other. Both will do anything to keep what's important to them. In Ursa's case, it was Zuko. And in Azula's case, it was her status or power. They really are pretty similar.

Ursa wasn't a perfect mother. Sure she cared deeply for Zuko, but she struggled to have the same love for Azula. She even called Azula a monster. Now, I have nothing against Ursa, in fact, I like her almost as much as I like Azula (which is a lot). So that's just something to think about.

As opposed to the happy la-la life he's had, what with his mother vanishing when he was just a child, his sister being the devil incarnate, and his father publicly banishing and scarring him; not to mention momentarily estranging himself from his uncle?

    XD

ok, how about different motives from the parent they look like? fit better? Ursa's my favorite parent in the show. I want her to come back as more than a hellucination. Maybe even get together with my second favorite parent, Hakoda...(the only ship I'll support in which both characters are actually in the show)

i def. agree. i think ursa mightve neglected her. in that case, u cant blame azula for being cruel (tho im not saying wut she does is excusable) . she was never touched by ursa's goodness and so she became very bitter and sought love from her hateful father. i think deep down inside, she wishes that ursa loved her as much as zuko. maybe we'll get flashbacks. we dont really noe much from azula's perpspective. im dying to noe wuts going to happen to her.

and im just gonna bring ozai in too. maybe he turned out this way cuz it seemed that azulon didnt really care abt him, and more for iroh. this whole "favorite child" def. brings abt problems

I have a gut feeling Azula's going to die of a very slow and painful torturing death...no nvm nick can't do that, it's too adult-ish...or can they? O_O
