yeah, I think that too, because there are so many characters and stuff that needs to be solved and because of that the could make a four season about that and what happens after the war and stuff.

Just because it's called that doesn't mean he has to learn that element, I mean he's still learning to Waterbend.

he did NOT master air. in season one he is suposed to be sent away to the eastern air temple to COMPLETE his air training and he never gets there. So he needs to still complete air. (will probully be self taught like how katara is self teaching herself)

i think that the show lasting only for seasons is really short considering the amount of attention avatar has attracted. there might be more that dont exactly follow the four elements as teh name

the actuall show will most likely end with four seasons, no matter how popular it is. if anything, they'll make a movie or some other sort of fanservice project, but the whole element theme doesn't really leave the writers with any room for a fifth season.

it has been confirmed by the CREATORS that the arrow tattoos means that person is a master airbender. They also said that Aang was the youngest air nomad to master airbending. You can still train and be a master, you know. Katara does...They just wanted him to be prepared because they were sensing a war

he has an arrow on his head and that means that he's a airbending master, and the fact that he was going to be sent to the Eastern Air Temple was maybe because there he could master the avatar state and the other elements.

maybe book 4 will be something like "spirit" because if you think about it the avatar has to master the 4 elements and the spiritual tasks of an avatar,he is the bridge between the spirit and the mortal world you know

Yeah....this has already been talked about. There are many threads listed in our directory about whether or not they'll go beyond season 3.

To provide a simple answer, the creators have talked with Nick about going beyond a 3rd season since the show has been so successful for them. But as of now no one really knows for sure, not even the creators. If they do pick-up a 4th season, it will be announced to the public early next summer, and probably to the staff in the first third of the New Year.
