I think Jin is underdeveloped. She's like a minor character or something.

    *giggles obliviously*

I don't think we'll ever find motives for Azula because she doesn't really have any, or atleast any deep ones: She has always been a better Firebender than Zuko and Ozai's favorite, she wants everyone to know that, she wants to keep it that way, and she wants to be better than everyone else at everything. That's pretty much it.

Katara has another issue she has to get over besides the jealousy thing: Her confused feelings about Aang and Jet (and possibly Zuko). She thought she was just friends with Aang at first but now she is unsure and doesn't know what to do about it, she hadn't completely gotten over Jet before he died, and who knows what's going to happen with Zuko but its probably going to be conflicting. Also, her need to always be right and the fact that she always is is something she has to get over in order to become more complex.

It will be for sure, and Katara has depth because of the death of her mother. In The Swamp, she showed a lot of death, and TCOD, she'll show depth. Dont count anyone out yet. Id say Zhao showed very little depth, along with Long Feng and that guy who was in Avatar Day.
That doesn't count, would you relax if you lost a loved pet? Tha's a natural reaction from anyone (espescially a 12 year old) who's lost a pet they care for deeply. It's certainly not character development and as I mentioned earlier, if they'd lost Appa at any other point in the series, he would've acted the same way. Also, no offense or anything, but I specifically said the five lead kids. Why did two people bring in characters other then them?

dude with ur arguement no caraters would have any developement....

No, she's right. There's a difference between having a motive and doing things as a knee-jerk reaction. Not that having knee-jerk reactions as a way of living isn't character development, it's just not the kind of character development people look for.

No. Katara is the least complex. She only has a few emotions: Righteous fury and sadness. She's frickin bipolar.
I agree. Katara is predictable and repeatitive. She's either giving Sokka CORNY insults or giving ppl sugar coated and sappy advice. There is nothing complex about her and she's nowhere near more powerful or complicated than Aang. The only character who isn't named Momo that's less complex than Katara is Azula. She's as cliched as it gets. Evil sibling w/??an evil?? King daddy is the oldest and overused??type of villain EVER! She might as well be a robot because all she is good for is fancy firebender. Azula and Katara need to be booted from this show ASAP! Avatar is just too good for such low class characters.

How so? It was argued that Aang didn't relax when he lost his pet, all I said was, "Who would?" and how exactly is the reaction character development?

How complex can a 12 year old get? Aang is a kid forced to take a grown up responibility.??and Zuko is techincally a grown up(Iroh said to Zuko "A man needs his rest."). That's just another??way that Zuko and Aang are completely polarized. There just aint much too Aang personality wise, the only thing that changed in Aang has been his bending...he's gone from pretty damn strong to mofoing strong

Good thing you're kidding cuz I doubt mofoing is in any dictionary. Seeing as I just made it up on the spot. Another Eman5805 exclusive .

The closest entry I found was Mufasaing. The act of being James Earl Jones in a cat. Illegal in 15 states.

No offense, but I gaged when I read this. Shipping is not some conflict you have to come over, her some what shallow feelings for Jet really don't count, IMHO. And besides, she doesn't need to always be right (when has she EVER implied this?) the creators just make her that way. Again, Katara is "the Mary Sue that wasn't". - I totally love this phrase (someone on this board made it up, but I'm too lazy to find out who).
