Avatar: The Last Airbender: Iroh -- Is he the best character ever created on a show?

What do you all think? I'm a big fan of many shows: Simpsons, Family Guy, Gargoyles, South Park, etc...

But since watching Avatar (I only heard about the show 3 weeks ago, and immediately downloaded and watched the entire series) -- I feel that Uncle Iroh is the BEST character ever created. He is like a contemporary Buddha -- He shows the most delicate care and mastery in every action. I am very impressed by the show's writers of how well all of Iroh's parts were written. Also, Mako as Iroh was the perfect combination. Although the written character of Iroh will be the same, I feel the voice of Mako was the icing on the cake (I will miss him so much... )-- I sure hope the new voice actor can learn to mimick Mako.

heck ya, him and zuko, so interesting! Avatar is the best show, Iroh and Zuko are the best characters!

He's the best character NEXT to Zuko.
After he sang his song he's now my third favorite character.

I second that my friend Iroh is an amazing character and Mako was the perfect fit for the voice role. R.I.P. Mako and Long live Iroh, "Brave Soldier Boy".

You could compare him to Dumbledore. He's old, wise, and funny.

Actually, you said you hope that the next actor can live up to the standards...he actually did a short snippet in Tales of Ba Sing Se, when hte boys were playing their version of soccer, if you noticed his voice was a bit different

i'm not too keen on the new voice, but I think I can live with it (for now). And, hell ya! Iroh is one of the best characters on the show

I noticed it the second time around, and I'm not too bothered with it. Iroh is my favorite character.

Iroh rocks...but he's not the best ever. That title goes to either Homer Simpson or Butthead.
