    She dies before Azulon did, most likely of natural causes. Watch the funeral at the end of Zuko Alone.

    Ila, she passed away long before Azulon's death, nobody knows how.

    I think she commited suicide because Azulon chose to follow the imperialistic nature of the Fire Nation after his father and she was probably against it.

    I think she died of natural causes, or maybe in an accidental line of fire, but not in an important way.

    All I know is that her name was Ilaa and Iroh was named after her. I'm thinking she died sometime before Azulon--they say they mention her once in awhile but no image is shown and no info is given out about her.

    She probably mot likely died from natrual causes I don't really think she serves any importance any way besides being mentioned in the funeral.

    Well they might have a idea but not yet sure what to do...
    but they are saying the next episode will have Iroh flashbacks so we most likly will find out then.
