    Ozai can't be 30; Zuko's 16, which would mean that Ozai would be 14 when Zuko was born.

    I think Ozai's in his early to mid-forties. And Iroh's late fifties, he probably just didn't age very well. Did you see Sozin? He was in his sixties when Roku died, and he looked eighty.

    I have a feeling that Ozai might have been an "accident". Which would explain some of the disdain Azulon had for his second son.

    If he's 36, Zuko was born when he was 18. And Yue was engaged when she was 16... so....

    iroh couldnt be 20 when his son was killed. if he was you are saying eithier that there is only a small age gap between iroh and ozai or ozai took the throne in his teens or when he was 10.

    No, I wasn't saying Iroh was 20 years old at the time his son was killed. What I meant was the shock and grief of his son's death was such that it was AS IF he aged 20 more years. Thus Iroh looks older than he actually is.

    oh, that makes sense. By the way why dont we use process of elimination to decide the age ranges of them. because we clearly cant just guess a precise age.

    does anybody know if ozia went to fight in the war or why was it iroh that seem to be the only one to go and fight?

    I've been wondering that myself. I'm not sure Ozai has much actual battle experience.
