Yes that???s right it???s yet another one of my classic ???Theory Threads???, and once again another to share.

??So seeing that Iroh is going to be heading to Ba Sing Se the place where he laid siege on for 600 days and lost his son. Now we all know that a few things are going to happen: 1. Eventually he is going to be discovered by the Earth Kingdom. 2. We are going to see more concerning the siege and what happened to Iroh???s son. 3. We also know that when Aang and the gang face Ozai in the final throw down that the FN will attack Ba Sing Se with everything they got and wipe it out with the power of Sozin???s comet.

??Now seeing as we are over half way through the series here comes my theory about Ba Sing Se and Iroh. I believe that over the next 29 episodes that Iroh will over time make peace with the people of Ba Sing Se and most importantly won???t be arrested or killed. Now this part has been bothering me how will Ba Sing Se survive the FN attack? They will be super powered by the comet and they???ll be going full force at them my theory is that Iroh will defend Ba Sing Se from the attack and being the strongest Firebender we???ve seen on the show he will be able to tap into the comet and be able to hold back the forces long enough so the fire lord can be defeated and the comet can either pass or be destroyed which ever.

??The main reason I think this is because every important event that has happened in his life has been connected to Ba Sing Se, his final battle as a general, his son???s death, the loss of his birth right. And how very fitting that he would defend the very place that he had sought to destroy not only that but in my theory Iroh will become fire lord after Ozai and if you think about it if Iroh helps save Ba Sing Se then the EK would actually approve of Iroh being the next Fire Lord because they would see the kind of person he really is a caring honorable person who only did what he thought was right.

I understand that it???s a bit early to be making assumptions on the series finale but I can???t help but feel that everything about Iroh???s character has been leading to his return to the city and defending and in fact saving it would complete his character???s evolution.

    Thoughts?

It dosen't seem likely that the Earth Kingdom will forgive Iroh. He would really have to show them that he is a changed man.

When you say that the FN will?? have the power of Sozen's comet, I guess you are assuming that Aang won't defeat the Fire Lord before its return. (which is most likely true, considering everything always goes wrong for the protagonist)

If he doesn't beat b4 the comet, that would allow the series to continue for atleast another season...

I really don't see the Earth Kingdom forgiving Iroh. Maybe after he beats the comet, but certainly not before. Also Iroh couldn't become the the next Fire Lord. Azula and Zuko are next in line for the throne. They'd both have to be killed.

OK that's simple enough he may be??imprisoned by them or still undercover or what ever the situation is before the attack comes but then when it does??come he jumps up and defends the city.

And of course the FN will have the comets power at least for a while it would be a bit of a rip off if we've been hearing about how powerful they will become and then never see it happen.

And as for Azula or Zuko they don't have the experience to rule over a country only Iroh does.

i do think the earth kingdom will forgive iroh if what i think will happen in the next movie happens:

when the fire nation attacks ba sing something iroh will help in a very important way to defeat the fire nation

Well I never said it would be hard. If he helped defend the city, they would accept him. But as now, Iroh appears to be??contempt with hiding. ??

I am in accord with the theory. No doubt he will be arrested because one of aangs gang will see him there. better yet one won't see him as in toph but will recognize his voice and not rat him out, thus beginning the alliance. it is going to be so good.

    Hi I SpeakTheTruth,

    - I agree with a lot of what you said, and I think it could happen just that way.?? Here are some other thoughts/possibilities.?? I haven't thought these through in great depth, just throwin' them out there.

    - I think that Iroh might die defending Ba Sing Se.?? I also think that Zuko will help in that defense if he grows to care about the people in the city and/or the Earth Kingdom??enough.?? There's already been a bit of foreshadowing about that.?? The next two or three episodes may give more clues as to whether or not that is likely to happen.

    - Good points about the comet.?? We also have to keep in mind that there is also a solar eclipse coming at some point in the near future.??

I don't think anybody would forgive Iroh if they were to find out. I think it'll be kind of a replay of what happend in zuko alone if he had to protect the city (protects city, people finds out who he really is, they all change faces and start hating him.). I think he would most likely just protect a couple of citizens within the city and try to get them to survive the invasion.

Not neccesarily...In Zuko Alone Zuko only beat up the town bullies, Iroh would be saving the lives of every person in the city. But I think there is more to the battle of Ba Sing Se (The one were Iroh was attacking for 600 days) that we haven't seen yet.

I have a theory about Lu Ten and Iroh. I say after Lu Ten is killed Iroh is instead trying to kill the person who tooke his son down but before he kills him he finds out he killed the soilder's son??when taking the first wall.??So seeing that the siege has only caused harm to both sides Iroh decides to leave.

It never made much sense that Iroh would just leave after his son was killed it would seem that it would motivate him more to defeat the city in memory of what his son died for.
