The Digimon anime came out before the pokemon anime. [atleast in japan]
The first digimon product [the Digimon Partner or something, a digimon you raise and then you use it to fight] was released about 8 months before the Pokemon Red and Green. |

evangelion is about giant robots. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is about angels and perverts. Pokemon and Digimon about young children obtaining and training monsters to battle other monsters and evovle/digivolve. |
Yeah, and there weren't any Angels or perverted stuff on Evangelion 
Pokemon is about a 10 year old who gets kicked out of his house and must enslave animals [of wich some are more intelligent than him] to make them fight others to win meaningless badges and trophies.
Digimon Adventure is about a group who is sent to a digital world where they meet digimon created for them and have to use their human bonds to give them Digi Soul [the concept wasn't invented yet, but it's clear that that was the thing that made them evolve, the light that came out in the evolution secuence] and make them evolve into badass monsters who could easly take on anyone of DBZ before the Android Saga so that they can kill the Emo creature that was causing irregularities on the digital world, thus could possibly make a giant glitch, deleting the 2 worlds.
If you want i can tell you of Adventure 02, Tamers, Frontier and Savers, who all have atleast 4 times the episodes as your series does. |
Digimon has gone throught so many changes in the way the digimon-human bond works, that if someone who watched the show when they were a kid watched the show today they would think that this is just a rip-off of the old digimon Quality of Quanity. Digimon Adventure was an epic series, beating I [don't know] [don't know] Dokur-Chan [why isn't it translated?] in quality and quantity, Digimon Savers, Frontier and Tamers were also epic series, not as much as the first one, but had a very good story. [damn 02 for sucking] |
Each episode was the same thing: New enemy Big fight some1's digimon digivolves into a new digimon the digivolved digimon wins against the enemy there is a morale lesson the end Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan has something called re-watch value, which is where you can watch the episode over and over again and still find it enternaining P.S. This really does show a noob what this thread is like. |
Get rid of the last part, and you have the first 8 episodes.
Everything else is essentially pushing the plot a little, with big epic fight every 10-15 episodes.
That's called being obsessed.
