    after momo knocked down the last of the water katara pulled it back out of the ground.?? couldnt she have also pulled water from deeper underground???? and couldnt she have gotten the mud out of the water she used on the swamp guy

    I guess there was no more water in the ground(it evaporated) and I don't know if Katara can pull a liquid out of another liquid...

    yeah, i think the taste of the swamp guy mixed in with the water. and water underground would be way deep under solid rock and there would likely be no underground water in the desert in the first place...i think. hope that answers your questions

    I remember an episode of Captain Planet and the Planeteers where Gi was able to get water from the desert by aiming her ring at the base of some desert plants.
    If the water inside the cactus was intoxicating, maybe the water under the cactus could've been OK.

    Actually, cacti can go without a source of water for a while so there may not have been water underneath. They just use the stuff store inside. Then when rain comes (which usually leading to flooding), they keister their personal supply and try to survive until the next rainy season.
