WATER- Tai Chi makes a great deal of sense for waterbending, seeing as how the matrial art deals alot with "push and pull" and it is quite evident when watching it performed. 8 Drunken Immortals, a form of Kung Fu's drunken boxing, would be awesome to watch, though. Each of the eight immortals has a specific style it adds to the style as a whole. One of the Immortals has a crippled left leg, one carries around a barrel sized jar of liquor. One of the Immortals is even a woman flaunting her body, lol!
EARTH- Earthbending fits well into Hung Gar. It's the logical choice when noting it's dynamics and capabilities. Nothern style Praying Mantis I think would be an interesting change as well, though. Toph seems to do very, very well with her Southern style but Nothern style is a bit more aggressive and offensive. Southern style has a bit more of an aesthetic quality than Nothern I've noticed. The sharp and quick motions remind me of the sharp jagged edges of stone.
FIRE- With fire being such a brutal and destructive element, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu is appropriate. Something along the lines of Eagle Talon of Tiger Claw style Kung Fu might show it's as well. Eagle Talon and Tiger Claw styles have been known to snatch eyes from sockets and rip muscles and limbs right off of people. I think that would be fairly uniform for the Fire Nation, no?
AIR- When dealing with Air you deal with circles and spirals, so
Ba Gua pretty much makes the best choice. This one is the hardest, as
I couldn't think of another form of matrial arts that would fit as
closely as Ba Gua does. I have to say it is a very, very unique form
and goes back farther than anyone really knows. I don't think I could
choose another form, now that I think about it.
I don't know if anyone would find this fun at all. If so, have at it ! If not, it's all good. I was bored and let my imagination run away with me.
