true, esp. the women. But it is taboo in our days therefore they wouldn't show it on Nick. They would possibly show us a flash in2 the future if Kataang were married.

Agreed. I think in some developing countries it is still common, but it isn't the norm in Western society.

was already established with Yue that the "age of official engagement" is 16, and I think that goes also to the other 3 nations

Stop being silly people... of course it would be nice but it just isn't going to happen. Katara is good and ready for it, but Aang is waaaaay too young to be a husband - not to mention he's a monk and probably incapable of consummating the marriage.

SHE IS 14, HAS TO WAIT 2 YEARS to be able to be a wife

and monk in the 4 nations is not the same as monk in Tibet in real life

The little tease is going to have to wait longer than I thought. Is the age of consent 18 in the US?

16 year old Aang with 18 yr old Katara?

    not that much

and if they wait till he is 20

we would have 20 yr old Aang marrying 22 yr old Katara

right there it would NOT BE AWKWARD at all

While you all talk about how they might show the future of the Avatar characters in one of the episodes, I take pride in knowing for a fact that they will. Try ASN. They'd know. And they do.
