When i was watching the season finalle (okay, spelled wrong i know) there was something very interesting. WHen Aang??was opening his earth chakra, the dude??that LOOKED like Ozai, wasnt. at least?? i dont think so. The guy we saw was much thinner. Ozai is RIPPEd and whoever this was wasnt as much. So what do you think?

Interesting thought because before he saw the final figure he saw images of Zuko.?? So maybe he was thinking of Zuko.

wait. that would make sense because in the seventh chakra, he was trying to let go of katara and then he saw katara's "future". what if, in trying to let go of his fear, he saw his fear's future? he was afraid of zuko, and saw zuko's future? yah? yah? possible?
now, maybe he wasn't seeing katara's "future", maybe he was seeing her present, but we never saw her chained to anything, so maybe it's stillher future, or maybe he was just seeing the personification of katara in danger, but it's still possible that what aang saw could be zuko's future... zuko's on his way back to being fire nation royalty after what he did with azula, so maybe it could happen? i think so.

That'd make sense because he's never seen Ozai. And it looked very similar to Zuko.

That doesn't look like Zuko. It could be Ozai, we haven't seen him so how would we know what it looks like? I hope it is Zuko because that means a new evil royalty Fire Lord in the family to avenge his fathers loss.

Sorry, I'm an optimistic when it comes to Avatar Season 4+.

I also thought it was just an "image" of the Fire Lord, being how Aang hasn't the slighest idea of what he looks like. For all Aang knows, Sokka is really Fire Lord Ozai.

And now for the technicals. As fun as speculation is, (sure) the two episodes simplu used different animation. They've actually doing this back and forth thing since the first season but it didn't become as appearent until the second. Some guy described it pretty well a while back but to paraphase, some of this one's characteristcs include slouched shoulders, rounder heads, pointer edges, exaggerated expressions, and basically everyone looks like they could be the next cast of America's Next Top Model. ....Yeah, been waitin to use that one for quite a bit now. Seriously.

I have to agree with onceinabluemoon here. Ignoring the general differences in animation, Aang has never seen Ozai in person. If anything, he would imagine him looking like an older Zuko.
