Why is the Fire Nation's "Prince" considered a traitor? I'm new to this show, and very confused

It's probably best if you watch the episodes in order from the beginning. I believe you need to see "The Storm" and the season one finale. It explains it. Suffice it to say, Zuko lost face and honor in front of the Fire Nation and later helped the Avatar.

Yeah, I am going to have to go with Mag on this, until you've caught up in the series, best not to see any recent episodes or you are just bound to confuse yourself.

Zuko alone is complicated, let alone adding him to all the rest. It's probably for the best, and if you are getting the first set for X-mas then you might want to wait. I know we are almost done with the Earth book, and what you have is the Water book, but there are ways to catch up faster.

For instance! If you happen to have digital cable and access to on demand, Nick acctually has a spot in the childrens programs that had avatar episodes last I checked, might still. You may want to look into that?

Be creative, TV.com is a GREAT resource for you as well, not only do they list all the episodes here and their order, but on the listing page, you can see which episode of playing! this means you can acctually control your veiwing as to not to confuse yourself further. Go efficency!

On another side note for you, the next new episode doesn't come out until next week, so you get an additional time bubble

I hope everything works out for you!

Dude, you're new to the show and you're coming here? Now, don't get me wrong, its' not like I'm trying to kick you out or anything, its just that a lot of discussion goes on here, so if you don't want to be spoiled... I mean yeah its easier, but if you really want to get a better experience its better to just watch the eps then come here. Of course I know how tiring that can be so you'know do whatever. Kinda suprised no one has said anything about this belonging in the "Ask A Question" thread.

Or you could go to a cerain website that lets you watch videos for free and search for the episodes and watch them with no problem. You know its that website that begins with a "Y" and ends with a .com and it has the word "TUBE" in it. Anyways if you know what Im talking about you can watch whatever you miss and even skip ahead if you want.

Zuko and Iroh are both very much traitors...they've done things to either hinder or just flat out foil Fire Nation interests...I won't spoil anything but if these guys lived in the United States and did anything remotely close to what Iroh and Zuko have done they'd be executed... watch "The Blue Spirit" and "Seige of the North" to find out what they've done

Yippee! What a fantabulous idea! Oh yeah, except for how it's illegal and completely jipping Nickelodeon and the creators, but whatev, right? -_-"

Zuko is definitely a traitor for his actions in "the blue spirit", but I'm pretty sure that Iroh was doing what he was doing out of the best interests of his people in "siege of the north".
