Hello fellow fans...I found this on the Avatar group on the college network Facebook. Hope this isnt a duplicate thread!!

    here is their report

According to Nickelodeon Executive Vice President, Development and Original Programming Marjorie Cohn:

"In season three, Aang will confront his biggest enemy yet along with Katara and Sokka, and meet his destiny by facing the evil Fire Lord at last."

Some other interesting notes, which leaves the possibility for the show to go beyond 60 episodes open:

Co-Creator Bryan Konietzko said, "When we came up with the original concept for the show, we intended Aang's first journey to culminate by facing the Fire Lord in the third season." Other Co-Creator Mike DiMartino added, "We're excited that we will be able to complete that original vision for the series and allow Aang to meet his fate."

Nielsen Media Research reports that Avatar grew 23% in the demographic boys' 9-14. It is now the number one series for that demographic.

So, they plan to make book three, as well as continue the series... so there will be a forth book about the reconstruction of the elements after the war, and yea.... cant wait

If you ask me Avatar will go stale if they go past 60 episodes thats sorta the curse of serial shows after a certain point it can feel dragged out

If season 4 was focused on the aftermath of Season 3 then Avatar is definatly on the path to becoming the next Dragonball Z and I mean that in a BAD way (Dragon Ball used to be really fun until the plot vanished in favor of melodrama and 15 episode long fights....thats because the set up of the show was based around Goku finding the Dragon balls after that ended...and alright the Fighting turnement....??it really didn't have anyplace to go)

I'd like to see them do is maybe reboot or "Power Rangers" Avatar (sorry I hate using bad shows as an example) and maybe have the 4th season focus on one of Aang's other lives

Well what I think could kill Avatar is if we end up with tons of fillers, like what happens a lot in anime. If the makers of the show want to do a forth season of the show about the post war world I would be ok with it since all of the elements would be coved in the seasons "Water, Earth, Fire, Air"

I would like to see a spin off in the Avatar world. Maybe a series that covers what happened in the time the Avatar was missing.
