Why was Lu-Ten's grave located in Ba Sing Se? I thought Iroh would've taken his son's body back to the Fire Nation and have him laid to rest there. Also Iroh and Lu-Ten was shown playing by the tree where his son would be buried. If that tree was in Ba Sing Se, why would Iroh and his son be playing by that tree! I doubt Iroh over 100 either. Another question is I thought Iroh only broke through the Outer Wall, not the Inner Wall, so why would his son be buried there?

Who said his son was buried there? He simply made a memorial for his son on that spot. It, apparently, was Lu Ten's birthday on that day.

His son isn't buried there. He was creating a memorial to his son at that tree and he did it on that day because it was Lu Ten's birthday.

He wasn't it was a memorial...Lu Ten is some corpse on the floor I doubt Iroh found his body and carried it to the FN though that's something he would do....anyway Iroh only broke through the outer and the tree was just a refereance to the past.

I don't think that was his grave. The one we've seen in a flashback had distinctive markings and a slab that serve as a small koi pond. I think that was just the place he was killed or something. Crap, should put this down earlier, now I'm just apart of the echo.

First of all, can you guys stop repeating yourselves. Most you keep stating out with "He wasn't buried.."

    Anyway, I get it know.

Colonel_Brian, I doubt the General would leave his son's corpse like that, he probably had it put in a casket and was shipped back to the Fire Nation.

Iroh is NOT, I repeat NOT 100 years old. His grandfather, Fire Lord Sozin started the war 100 years ago. Then, Iroh's and Ozai's father, Fire Lord Azulon took over. During that time, when Azulon's rule was nearing its end, Iroh lay a 600 day seige to Ba Sing Sei and broke through the outerwall. But then Lu Ten was killed in the battle, so Iroh retreated. By this time, Ozai had taken over as Fire Lord, even though Iroh was the eldest son. And Lu Ten's grave was not in Ba Sing Sei. Iroh made a memorial, as mentioned before, there since it was his birthday.

I'm not going to waste my time reading your post because I said I doubt Iroh over 100. I was saying that for anyone stupid enough to think Iroh was over 100.

I know it's just an idiom, but since we're typing on a forum and unless anybody here talks out loud while he types, nobody has wasted any breath.

It's his son, why wouldn't he find his body and bring it home with them? Any person in their right mind would do that for somebody they loved or cared for. Let your flesh rot on the battle field, or bring him home for a proper burial? I think the latter. Iroh is not as inhumane, as say Zhao or Azula or Ozai, who if it were their kid would probably leave to die. Nope, Iroh is a good man who just got caught up in a war he never really wanted to be in, which caused him the life of his only son.

I wouldnt' say that Iroh never wanted to be a part of the war...he was making jokes about burning down the city I think he only began to regret his actions after his son's death.

I agree, after Ozai ruined his life, Iroh regreted being apart of the war.

How did Ozai ruin his life? If you mean by becoming Fire Lord then may I point to the fact that Iroh has never once said that he wanted to be Fire Lord. He never once said his brother didn't deserve to be Fire Lord.
