Oh,and just to clarify that arrow on Aang's head, it means that he's a master Airbender(He's the only one his age that managed to master Airbending).

I want to try telling a bit more of the summary...
Aang is the last Airbender in the whole world because the next avatar in the cycle is Air which means the next Avatar is going to be an Airbender and the fire nation knew that so they whiped out the whole nation of the air benders because the avatar is the only one that can stop him. The last Avatar is named 'Avatar Roku' and in his life, he started as a fire bender but he vanished when the world needed him most and when the Avatar dies, a chosen one from the next cycle is supose to become the new avatar and learn how to master the other 3 elements.

The avatar isn't supose to be told that he/she was the avatar until they turn 16 but Aang was told at the age of 12(not to mention he acts like an 8 year old...just to tell you,I'm also 12 years old) and all Aang wanted was to be a normal kid and he was told early because the fire nation was growing stronger, the air nation monks ended up putting too much pressure on Aang causing him to run away.

While Aang wasn't at the Air temple however, that was when the fire nation decided to??attack the air temple and while Aang was flying on Appa(his flying Bison) he was caught in a storm and he and Appa ending up almost drowning. But Aang used some of his avatar strength saving him and Appa causing him to be frozen for 100 years.(so technically, Aang is a 112 years old, lol)

Since the avatar was gone for 100 years and now Airbenders were known to be extincted, the world lost hope of the avatar ever returning. This is where we meet Katara and Sokka(Katara=14 years Sokka=15[I think]). Katara and Sokka's mother were killed by the fire nations and their father was still fighting in the war so now the two live in the southern water tribe(Just to tell you, Katara's the only waterbender in her whole villiage, there's more water benders on the nouthern water villiage)

And you know...Aang has the master the other 3 elements and you will learn the rest by watching the show!!??...and you know...just watch from episode one and that's where I am stopping my little summary here.

Oh and just to add to the firebenders and waterbenders...
    SPOILER WARNING!!
It was revealed near the end of season one that waterbenders are weakest during the lunar elispse and it was just recently revealed in the newer episodes that firebenders were in thier??weakest during a solar eclispse.

Gotta say that Aang makes me feel young because I'm also 12 years old and at school 12 is considered old =S

I love the show because of the great action, funny humour from Sokka(Giant Friendly Mushroom XD), the character development, the twists that this show takes, the dramatic scenes, the great animation and not to mention the cool bending moves!!

    Favorite Quotes(XD):

Aang:"What? Do I look like a hundred and twelve year-old man to you?"

    Drunk Sokka:"It's a GIANT MUSHROOM!! Maybe it's friendly!!....*starts doing a dance* Giant Friendly??Mushroom!!"

    Aang:"Your insane, aren't you?"
    Old Lady:"That's Right!"

Aang:"Wait!! My friends need to suck on thoose frogs!!" (Please DON'T ASK)

and a lot of other quotes that I love!!(There's too many to name that I forgot most of my favorites XD)

wow, you really can't be serious. You have to watch the episodes to fully understand the complex LEGEND that is Avatar: the Last Airbender.

I like the story and the action scenes because it reminds me of the adventure games I used to play when I was 7.

In world and time unlike out own, a world existed where the people possessed the power of Bending, a skill where the Bender is able to manipulate a certain element (and by elements, we mean the class Water, Earth, Fire, and Air kind).

Not everyone possesses this skill, and typically those living under the government of the Fire Nation, Earth Kingdom, Water Tribes, and Air Nomads, carry on the elemental bending native to where they live.

One Bender, known as the Avatar, has the ability to use all the bending elements, and this power is passed down through re-incarnation known as the Avatar cycle.

100 years before the "present" or the setting time of this television series, a young airbender is notified that he was the Avatar. his name was Aang. He was told that he was the Avatar at a young age, because there was a threat that the Fire Nation was mobilizing against all the other nations. Angered that he was going to be seperated from his gaurdian (a monk who lived in an Air Nomad Temple), he ran away on his bison (a large animal with the ability to airbend). Aang however gets lost in a storm, and frozen in ice for the next 100 years of war.

I will describe no furhter, instead, I will ask why people are so interested in Naruto...

    Umm, this show isn't japenese.
Japanese shows are terrible quality, except for some.
And they do some pretty cool Fights using their "magic tricks"

Give 123IKEREESE a break, you guys.

??Hello! I'm Star_Dreamer! I welcome you to the wonderful world that is Avatar. I apologize if people here seem a bit edgy. They truly are really nice people once you get to know them. I guess when you love a show that's this awesome, you tend to get a little over-protective of it??

??Anyways, it seems you already got a lot of background information about the show, so let me tell you some other stuff about it.

??First, Avatar has a LOT of character and story depth, more than you see in most shows, and completely unexpected from a show designed for kids, especially one that's on Nickelodeon. You know...it's got the whole love triangle thing going on, plot twists,??suspense...all that...it's great!

??Second, EVERYTHING has a purpose in Avatar. EVERYTHING. You may think the smallest little detail doesn't matter, but IT COMES BACK IN THE END. I mean, there may be a person we see for a minute, and then they play a major role in the future. There's so much symbolism...some of it is even a historical reference to real world (like what you said about the Fire Nation/Nazis).

??Third, the characters are relatable, realistic (to a certain point), lovable, and just plain awesome! Here's a couple, and why you they're so cool!

    • Aang: the 12 (technically 112) year-old hero. Just wants to be kid and have fun, but knows that he must face up to his duties as the Avatar. How can you not like a reluctant hero? And Aang's such a nice guy too *huggles Aang*
    • Katara: 14 year-old water tribe??teenage girl, who lost her mother in a Fire Nation raid on her village. She gets moody sometimes, but is a very kind person, strong-willed, and good-hearted in general. She sort of acts like the mother of the group. Most girls can often relate to her one way or the other.
    • Sokka: 15 year-old water tribe teenage guy, and brother of Katara. As he has??said, he's just "A guy with a boomerang" and the "meat and sarcasm guy," as well as the "idea guy." He's smart, brave, and funny, and although he has no bending powers, he's probably just as powerful as one. He also seems to attract a lot of girls =D. You just gotta love the comic relief.
    • Toph: 12 year-old earthbending girl who was born blind. But don't mistake her blindness as a weakness--it's what makes her one of the most powerful earthbenders around. Toph is the complete opposite of Aang--outspoken, intimidating, a bit harsh, and just tells things straight to your face, whether you like it or not. She rocks (no pun intended)!
    • Zuko: the 16 or 17 (age is still debatable) banished prince of the Fire Nation. You gotta feel sorry for the poor guy. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't say much, but...let's just say the only family he can count on??is his Uncle Iroh, cause the rest can't be trusted, and one is gone. T-T He has the saddest story line I've ever heard in a character, but that's why I love him. XD

There's so many more characters and so much more details that can only be recognized by watching the show itself. I really hope that??all of this information has changed your opinion about this show in some way, and that someday, ??you become a hardcore fan like all of us crazy people here.
