What in your opinion is the saddest moment in Avatar. That moment that had you on the verge of tears, but you really don't want to admit it, yeah you know what i'm talking about. I know this is a morbid topic, but it had to be done.

When Katara chose Aang... oh wait, that was an awesome moment Now, if you will please forgive my anti-zutarian post ^^;; Well, Azula breaking down was pretty strong for me, i'm not a fanboy of azula though, just can't take moments like those myself.

Azula breaking down was a pretty sad part of the series. I think it was Aang first finding out that Monk Gyatso was exterminated with the rest of the Airbenders.

Well, every time I think about Zuko's past I get kinda sad, I mean he had such a bad time growing up.

Anyway, I think the saddest moment was the last time we see Jet.

I think the whole Zuko-going-darkside/turning his back on Iroh thing at the end of "Crossroads of Destiny" got me the most. I guess its because I've seen similar situations like that happen first-hand in my life.

I definatley think that when the show was overI was the saddest because I wouldn't see it anymore... but then the movie came out and it got worse because the little hope I had of it being good was mega crushed. .....

Deffinitly in Tales of Ba Sing Sae, when Iroh was singing that song about the little soldier boy, and crying over his sons grave. Not only was it sad for Irohs character, it was also in memory of Irohs voice actor.Very powerful, not to mention it just really puts in perspective how great of a person Iroh really is, making him my faovorite character.

Annnnnnd, i re-watched the finale and it made me tear up the other day. Why, o why are u gone avatar?!

I agree. I think I got the most emotional on that episode. And even with Avatar gone, we should be thankful that we got an amazing conclusion! Some shows aren't even lucky enough to tie things up in such a way that even with a few loose strings, we are still satisfied with the ending.

Ironic how we are discussing the joy in Avatar related subjects in the "how sad" forum haha. I can't wait to see all the old guys coming back after the series finale. I'm willing to whip up a whole new camp out session on the Korra forums haha.

Hey, long time no see! Welcome back!

I'd have to say the most emotional part for me was watching the flashback where Katara's mom lied to save her daughter.
