Avatar: The Last Airbender: How old do the characters act?

Now we all should know the main characters ages, but how old do they act?

Aang acts more like a kid into adolescents instead of on the verge of it. Granted, he's grown, but he still acts?? to old for 12 (or 13, depending on time elapse). I think more like the 14/15 range.

Katara is 14 but once again does not act her age. She acts like she's in her late teens to early twenties.

Zuko is 16 but acts like he is at least 18.

Sokka is 16 but acts like a late teenager.

Toph acts like more of an angsty adolescent than 12. like 14 or 15 at least.

Azula 14? You're kidding me. She's crazy. She's acts like at least 16 to 18, as do her groupies.

That's all the main aging characters. So, what do you think?

I don't think Azula and Katara act like a 14 year olds.
Other people act nearly or a little big older than what they really are.

Well, they have been through stuff that most teen/kids their age usually don't.
War, for a general example.
In Zuko's case commanding troops, having his mother vanish and??being permanently scarred by his own??father, Toph being raised in relative isolation from other people by her parents, Aang's race was wiped out by the FN, Sokka and Katara lost their mother and had their tribe practically collapse
you get the idea.

Plus this world seems a lot like the ancient time, where kids grow up faster than now. The jews consider adult a 13 year old

Katara is like the definete mature one. Like late teens. Toph acts like a kid... like 13-15. Zuko is 16-18. Azula.... well at times I think she's deranged. So like the oldest. But Mai is as old as Azula definetly(she is so negative.) Ty Lee, you just know she's as old as Azula and Mai but she acts so...... young. Aaang really does act old at times but he does deserve to be 12-13.

I don't think aang acts older,even though he is the avatar he is very immature at times, he's still a kid

Aang: Acts around his age I think. But at times more mature then most people at his age.

Katara: She acts like she is in her late 20's. She can be at times mature beyond her age.

Zuko: He acts like a 17 year old.

Sokka: He acts about his age.

Toph: She acts more like a kid nowadays at her age then say 10 years ago. But she has some good sarcastic wit that ussaly comes with age.

Azula: She acts like she is in her late teens, but her dedication and what she does kind of ranks her as a harden fanatic in her mid 20's. You know the whole "I am young and I will live forever." kind of thing.

Second, I'd say that Azula and Katara act older that the others, with Aang acting like a little kid instead of 12, and Toph acting her age with some pre-adolescent moments, and Sokka and Zuko act like their around 17, but isn't Zuko around that age anyway.

personally i think the only characters who absolutely act their age (even though we dont know for sure) would be Ty Lee and Sokka, they act like the typical 16 year old, where as Zuko is pushin 17-18 but you all already established that, so yeah Azula DEFIANTLY acts older then Zuko, i would say 19-20ish but??thats just me,and i dont think its JUST because shes utterly insane, they give her adult lines and situations, no offence to any one in that age but 14 year olds simply dont think that in depth about situations they are in??nor their??surroundings the way Azula does in the story. then again this is all typical, ages are always messed up on TV

That's probably one of the reasons I hate them both os much. lol
Anyway, the only ppl who seem to act their age is characters like Iroh. Well except Bumi, he acts like he's going through his midlife crisis. lol
