Nickelodeon (ended 2008)

Has the show ever made you cry/made you feel emotions you can't explain?

Has it?

I've never cried from this show, but numerous scenes have left me grinning like an idiot. And DoBS made me completely spazz. In front of my friends too.

lol i got like that when katara and aang fought on the ember island players and that katara was confused lol but there are lots of others like when aang was shot on the crossroads of destiny just the mood and katara and everyone else was kinda emotional and a couple others and also when they ended the series the kiss with aang and katara made me feel kinda odd man really odd im gonna miss it alot i guess...

I actually almost cried in two parts. One when Zuko started crying for forgiveness to Iroh and the second when Azula began breaking down into tears after she was pwned by Katara. I hate Azula and I felt sorry for her. She just needs a hug. I love how this show does that to me.^^ The music also helped. It was very touching, beautiful music. I want a soundtrack!

I agree, its not gonna be the same without the gaang. If there is a new story I'm sure we'll love the new cast, but it just won't feel the same...

i seriously feel really weird now, i just can't get the fact that avatar is over, 2 days have passed but i'm still shocked
i'm 16 years old and i feel like an idiot but i don't care about admitting the truth
i loved all the romantic stuff and the awesome ending.. now i'll wait until it comes out in spanish (i'm from argentina) on nick latinoamerica and watch it understanding everything.. hopefully i will be alone to cry without making everyone think i'm crazy
why can't we just go into the avatar's world and live better eh?

I think I only cried once and that was when Azula was defeated because she looked so lost and in pain. Despite her being cruel I couldn't help but sympithyze with her I mean she had everything going for her and her two best friends betrayed her then she was stripped from her role as Fire Nation princess by a waterbender during Sozin's comet when firebenders are at their most powerful. Even if she was going insane i still cried because of how lost she looked

Mike and Bryan knew that most of Avatar fandom hated Azula so they made it their goal to make us feel bad for her. Leave it to Mike and Brian to guilt trip us fans.

If you've watched the show from day 1, if you have empathy and understand the characters... this series has some emotionally intense moments. I mean, there are some real heartfelt and heart wrenching moments in a series (in theory) made for 9-14 year olds. If I were in the targetted age group, I doubt I would have been impacted by some of the scenes I was... I never actually cried, but there were definitely times where I didn't know how to respond to what had happened... the season 2 finale was rediculous, the whole relationship development of aang and katara prolly hits most people who have had a close friend they wanted to date.

I've cried watching something twice, the first time I saw gladiator, right after the line "who will help me carry him", and the end of a beautiful mind when the dude started putting the pens down... but I was damn close to tears for the final moment of the series... the creators did such a fantastic job with aang and Katara's relationship, I don't give a damn if you're a shipper, Kataang or ZUTARA nonsense... if you've watched the whole series, that moment with the music and everything is one of the finest out there, and I GUARANTEE the first time you saw the kiss, your body flooded with some sort of heartfelt or warm emotion no matter what "ship" you sailed, because that sums up what avatar is.

As I said in my review, Avatar's ahead of it's time, and absolutely incredible.
