Wow, I googled 'tomtitan avatar' and found this:

    http://clearwater04.deviantart.com/art/Ninjabewbs-by-Tomtitan-78073328

    /flattery

Someone with a DA account needs to comment there and say I'm flattered. Oh, and that Dub The Framegrab wasn't my idea originally.

I'm so glad I'm talking to you guys right now. You don't know how embarassed I was feeling for being such an obsessed fanatic. My friends were kinda freaking out by it, to be honest. I'm the only person they know who watches Avatar fanvideos and trailers and episodes over and over and OVER again (I blame YOU for the trailers and fanvideos, Raven!!!), and can recite all things Avatar at the top of my head, or find the smallest details in a simple one-second clip from the NYCC trailer...or takes the time to write FANFICTION on the dang series, or draw them nonstop... But yes...I screamed quite a lot with that trailer. My little brother thought I was going psychotic. And I'm still watching the trailer, have been throughout today, really. Obsessed is really an understatement.

You are definitely amongst friends. I play Raven's vids in the background on my computer when I'm online because they are sooooo good and filled with Avatary goodness. LOL

So even though I'm multi-tasking in other places, I will have it in a small screen so I can watch them over and over again.

Speaking of which, no pressure Raven but with the new video footage from the S3 Finale Trailer, do you think you will be inspired to make a new vid?

I wonder if Nick will put a high-quality version on TurboNick?

I know, I really want a high-def version of the trailer!! But, I'll probably end up waiting until I at least have Boiling Rock before I take a stab at something else. You have no idea how mad my mom was when I told her I made another trailer. She was like, "Didn't you just make a video?" Me: "Yeah, 3 weeks ago..." Mom: "You can't keep doing this, Raven..." Me: *in my head* Try and stop me beast!! I mean seriously, no respect. She just doesn't understand... sigh...

Yeah, I figured you'd wait for Boiling Rock. I would wait, too. Because then you'd be using the exact same clips from the trailer, and it's basically just switching them aroud, you know? Better with juicy new footage.

Guh...parents don't understand when it comes to these kinds of passions, unfortunately. Especially if it has to do with technology they really don't understand. My parents get mad because I'm always on my laptop...they don't realize that I'm actually writing stories, or researching drawing techniques, or studying videos, that ultimately help me get better skill-wise. *sigh*

Gah, gotta go, History class calls. This laptop is such a distraction...XD

O.k. my mind does not compute what you just said. Has she SEEN your work? Omg. She should be like buying you special video and editing equipment and should be looking into exclusive art schools to hone your talents. Sorry I'm a Mom and if you were my daughter I would encourage you to make as many vids as you could stand. You have a sublime gift. That much is indisputable.

She used to passively support it. I gave her the money for Sony Vegas and said "I need this program." She ordered it for me, probably not knowing entirely what it was. She's seen some of my stuff, but I don't show them to her anymore because I know it just makes her uncomfortable, and leads to awkward comments when it's over. She's never seen the show and has blatantly refused to watch it, which is incredibly frustrating. Oh well, I have friends who like it, so it's all good. If I ever succeed in this kind of field she'll have Avatar entirely to thank for it.

Trap her in the main tv room, have the first episode playing, then lock the door and not allow her to escape. Worked perfectly for me and my mom!

Well, not really, it was on, and mom decided to tolerate it, then found herself actually liking the show and has now seen up to 313.

That sounds a lot like my mom. She really doesn't care what I do when it comes to Art or any of this video stuff. I could work on something for weeks, then show it to her, and all she'll do is be like, "Oh. Wow," smile, then go back to doing her own thing. Frustrating, isn't it? Luckily, I have my dad. He supports me all the way and is willing to buy my things just to keep me motivated, and he's always thrilled by the things I like to do. (Well, he doesn't buy me everything. I had to buy Sony Vegas, and I gotta pay for half of the new computer I'm HOPING to get.)

Is your mom the only one being like that, Rav?

My Mum is incredibly awesome when it comes to what I watch on TV. Not only does she watch Avatar, sometimes she'll sit through Drake and Josh, sometimes Spongebob, and we even watched The Batman together today!

My dad on the other hand...

Well, no one in my family will watch it. I don't really connect with my stepdad and my dad thinks it's dumb. Friends are good though. It's just inexplicably traumatizing when we go to visit relatives or something and dad will say "Oh, you should see what Raven does all day..." *sarcasm*. UGH! I GET THAT IT'S A KID SHOW BUT IT ROCKS OK!?!?!?

She's never seen Avatar and has blatantly refused to watch it, which is incredibly frustrating.
Trap her in the main tv room, have the first episode playing, then lock the door and not allow her to escape. Worked perfectly for me and my mom!

Well, not really, it was on, and mom decided to tolerate it, then found herself actually liking the show and has now seen up to 313.
My Mum is incredibly awesome when it comes to what I watch on TV. Not only does she watch Avatar, sometimes she'll sit through Drake and Josh, sometimes Spongebob, and we even watched The Batman together today!

My dad on the other hand...
Seriously? My dad collected so many comics as a kid, if they didn't get damaged he'd be filthy rich by now. We watch all kind of animation, especially Batman and The Spectacular Spider-Man.

I LOVE animation, and it angers me to no end that people can just dismiss it as "for kids."

I still say to act on my idea, but barricade the door with concrete bricks.

My parents don't even know that Avatar exists. I'm just badass sneaky like that.

They wouldn't approve of me watching a "kid's" cartoon.

Ugh. Totally see where you're coming from. Neither of my parents care for the shows I watch. And you know, the thing is, Avatar honestly ISN'T a kid's show, besides all of the slapstick humor. It started off as one, or at least it seemed to...but honestly, who the heck writes a story about a 12-year-old boy who has his entire nation slaughtered and has to save the world from a psycho power-hungry maniac and his deceptive, no-conscience daughter? It gets incredibly dark (c'mon, Aang nearly gets KILLED), and I'm actually surprised Nick considers it a kids show to begin with.

And that's why parents are left to do their own thing while we fanatics bond with friends and cyberfriends alike.

Parents not caring for the shows their children watch is partly the reason for what happened to Codey Porter.

    Lisa might disagree.

God it's the exact opposite at our house...our daughter has her own computer and does what she likes and our kids get in trouble if they speak during Avatar episodes. Recently my son said he think he likes Ben 10 MORE than Avatar and there was a collective GASP at the dinner table. LOL

I understand why Litl_swimmer feels this way. I think all kids feel that way about their parents.

Case in point my daughter is 15 and has a TV.com account and lurks amongst you all but she doesn't want anyone to know she's "Lisa31468's daughter." LOL

I don't think Avatar can be written off as just a kid's show. Just because it comes in an animated package doesn't condemn it to being trivial or only a juvenile comedy.

There are LOTS of adults who absolutely love Avatar. Truthfully we don't at all fit into the 9-14 year old boys demographic Nick sells advertising for Avatar for.
