    I personally think the Guru should be an airbender who will tell them about a hidden community of surviving airbenders. I think Aang will learn firebending from Zuko when he becomes a good guy.

    I don't think that Guru Pathik is a Firebender because of his eye color. All Firebenders we have seen so far have yellowish-gold eyes and his are brown.

    I am going with the majority here. He is a spiritual guide who will teach Aang how search within. He may even teach??Aang how to GPS like he did with Appa in Lost Days. I would be surprised if he is a bender.??I am curious to see what the note on Appa's horn says. He is an old guy so maybe it has a secret location where an airbender or two might be hiding. Even in a slaughter like what happened to Aang's people, there are always a few that escape and hide. Interesting point here as well. Was there ever a time when the rest of the Sky Bison were shown? I don't recall them ever showing a destroyed group of them (although that would be sad just like seeing a bunch people destroyed). Maybe the Guru knows where they may be hiding as well.

    I dont think that all the airbenders were killed or destroyed.?? I mean the only airbender skeleton was that of Monk Gyotso (sp?)

    The Foggy Swamp Tribe outwardly resembles Indians from the tropical rain forests, but they act and speak like Americans from the southern Mississippi River Basin.
