The episodes set in Ba Sing Se have been among my favorites in the entire series.Especially
"Tales of Ba Sing Se"!!!!Awesome character stuff.Lake Lagolai was action packed and in your face, great stuff. It was so sad to see Itoh with with the picture of his son and it made me miss Mako that much more.I dunno, what do you think of the Ba Sing Se episodes?????

No, I think there's one on the episodes in Ba Sing Se, but not the place itself.

The entire Ba Sing Se series leading up to Lake Laogai has been painful and slow. LL has pulled it into being a neutral experience, but unless they really blow the lid off of the season, I'm gonna be left thinking it wasn't worth it.

Dude...from what I'm hearing the lid will be blown off and land some 4,000 miles away! Why would you even doubt they wouldn't send this season off with a bang like last year?

I will agree with Pooldude.?? The season has been very good like the first one.?? I am sure that the season finally is going to be great.?? I will have to agree that I do like the BSS episodes.?? They maybe slow in the story BUT they are very important.?? They display the human side of the kids too.?? Remember that they are human beings.?? Also Zuko has changed a great deal while in BSS.?? Look at his date as an example.?? Iroh's role in the story is becoming greater now too.?? I think everyone should try to look at each episode as a small part of the overall story and enjoy each one.?? I have heard from many people that Appa's Lost Days was boring and pointless.?? However what I saw in that episode is the true Appa.?? Not just the bison that flies them around.?? He has a heart, soul, and personality.?? That episode showed me that we as viewers put too much concentration on the main characters and belittle characters like Momo and Appa.?? Appa is a stronger character in the show now because of that episode.?? Also that episode showed the Guru and how he is important for Aang.?? So when you think about the episodes then each one really does have a deeper meaning that you missed the first time around.??

I suggest rewatching them and getting a good idea about what each one is showing.?? Here are some questions to ask yourself.?? In fact write them down before the episode and answer them along the way.?? It will make the episode more fun to watch.
Who is the antagonist (Enemy) of the episode?
Who is the protagonist (Hero) of the episode?
What moral (Lesson) did I get from the episode?
Do I see the deep meaning behind the moral?
What progress did I get from the episode that contributes to the story as a whole?

You should be able to answer each question above from each episode.?? In fact I think I might start a new thread with these questions.?? That can be a great basis to talk about the various episodes.

I have faith in the writers to make a great season finale but I agree with master the way they handled the entire Ba Sing Se and search for Appa was very slow and did drag towards the end.

But let's see how they handle the rest of the episodes for this season.

Yes the story might be slow but you all have to remember essentially each season is one book and each episode is a chapter in that book, yes some of the chapters our boring and at times slow, but each episode is relevent in its own way. Tonights episode looks to be an interesting one, maybe we finally see the Earth King.

Yea BSS episode has been good. Especially because I was bummed that they were gonna do half the season here. But they really were creative and I can't wait for the rest of the episodes

Whoa, whoa. Whoa. I'm not 5. I already know how to appreciate the media arts. I'm pretty certain these episodes are gonna be roof-blowing-riffic, but I have had my doubts earlier in the season. I'm pretty sure I'm still gonna be here come the mid-season three lull telling you guys that "_____ (minor character) is actually dead" and "_____ is the worst idea ever to touch a script". Just because I have critical standards doesn't mean I don't like the show.

That said, hurry up with the finale! Screw the lip synching! Just bring me a storyboard and a box of crayons.
