whoops, sorry, I used "he" because it's a general standard (i don't mean to sound sexist, but it is the standard) unless one knows the gender.
I don't think there is souch thing as a "Standard"
actually, when refering to a person in general, it's the standard to say "he" instead of "he/she", (It's the short form) this can be used only in a informal manner though
