    Crap i am sorry,,i tried making the icon smaller but it wont work,,how??small do icons have to be?

    Yes.

    Well, it usually depends on the specific screenshot you want to make an icon out of, but I usually add color gradients first and maybe use some brushes to blend colors together. To insert text, use the text tool, that looks like a capital T.

    Whiteforest, I have GIMP, but I'm a bit confused. I almost made a sig, but it was completely messed up!! Can you give me some trusty tutorials 'cuz I tried to find some and it didn't help.
