Dear god. This is not a serious thread. It stopped being one somewhere in the title. It's a joke. Calm down. Apologize to your mother. Go make peace with your lord.

Embrace the joke. It's okay. It's okay now.

no, it would make no sense in the show considering it's based on FOUR and only FOUR elements

Could maybe an extra power of the Avatar's be metal bending? Like after all the other elements have been mastered. Someone on this site once said that the Chinese had metal, water, earth, fire, and air as their elements.

Wood is more of a combination of water, earth, and air.

I think airbending should have stuff to do with sound, ie: generating sound waves.

I've thought about this too, but I think the fact that you posted this as "new elements" attracted criticism. I don't know why everyone is talking about metalbending. If someone could do it, it would just be a form of earthbending. Metal comes from the earth .. not a complex notion. Also whoever said metal is "not bendable" is wrong - it's one of the most malleable substances - although we cannot bend it with our bare hands.

There have been other "benders" mentioned throught the story such as "sandbenders." However these were just earthbenders who specialized in bending the sand. The vine creature in "The Swamp" was just a man bending vines using the water trapped inside them. Really, you can think of a million crazy possibilities - for example a firebender freezing water by drawing the heat out of it. Whatever happens will happen and is up to the show's creator

by "bendable" i mean it can be .. bent without breaking aka it's not brittle. FOr example , a bone breaks when too much force is applied to it. Metal just bends. THis is the quality that allows it to be pressed into coins, bent into different shapes, etc.

it is confirmed that metal is not bendable by earthbenders. natural metal is, when it's just in the rocks, but when it's smelted and altered by man then it is not bendable (got this info off the avatar site at Nick.com)

The only "new" bending powers that are going to be seen on the show are variations of existing bending powers, kind of like sand bending is to earth.?? I originally though combination benders would be cool, but in the episode the drill when Katara and Toph both can bend the slurry it seems that when an element is mixed it can be dually bent, therefore air and water can bend clouds and earth and fire can most likely bend lava.

As far as metal goes, the only interesting thing about it would be that metal benders would be deadly to fire benders as it looks like most of their society is based on metal.?? Other then that metal is not plentiful enough throughout the various other kingdoms to make them interesting or even useful.?? So unless metal benders attack the fire nation sometime in the future (after Aang defeats Ozai)??there is no reason to have them.
