It does seem suspicious that youtube videos get yanked in less than 48 hours and all these scam Avatar websites are still up and running.

I wonder if they are keeping them up on purpose so that fans that illeagaly download episodes will be at risk of getting spyware and viruses as a form of backlash. Think about it; turbo nick has most of their episodes that they have ever aired on tv at any given time as an alturnative to the scam sites where there is no risk of getting those things and their ads are still seen. The only downside to it is that you will rarely ever get a leaked episode on thier site (and they don't last for long).

I'm really surprised that Nick Intellectual Property hasn't shut them down by now. I really wonder why they allowed them to go on this long?
Maybe cause they know they don't have anything and they're adding to the torture inflicted upon Avatar fans

Nah, I highly doubt the theories on why the scam sites are still around(this topic was brought up a long time ago). The reason (in my opinion) that places like watchavatar and avatarchapters are still up is because Nick cant take them down, i.e. they are hosted on overseas servers in countries that dont enforce copyright laws, etc.. I dont know if anyone hear remembers The Sega Dreamcast (a videogame console), Sega ended up paying a few warez groups to stop producing the bootleg roms for games on their system. They couldnt stop them legally because everywhere you downloaded the games were hosted in places like The Philliphenes(i know thats spelled wrong) and other small asian countries. Maybe its something similar with the leaked avatar and scam sites.

I commend you for risking your computer to make sure =] Even though it probably wasn't needed. If it was real, this would be insanely popular already.

Perhaps a more situationally appropriate one:

When you say kind of, surely you mean 100%. It is stealing just because it's easy doesn't mean it ain't stealing, so it's not kinda illegal it is. And it's hard to stop downloading music, because millions of people share a copy of a file, so even if the original is deleted the copies will still share.

Yeah it was easy. All you needed was a copy of the 'ethiopia' bootdisk and the rom file and a copy of fireburner. And you had the game .

But yeah, i think its a similar situation with Avatar. They just cant touch the scammers.
