"The Blind Bandit"?? is one of my favorite episodes, because of all the action and cool effects. I think the series need more effects like this, but the coolest was the way Toph saw the fight, it was awesome, it gave the action a "Matrix" effect. The problem is why haven't they show more of this cool effect??

I really miss it, it think is an essential element on Toph's character. Wouldn't be cool if every time Toph fights we could see a special move?? in the way she sees it??For some reason the creators aren't showing this anymore. Toph is still blind, and the fact that now we see her fights as every other character, gives me an empty feeling.

    so....

Why do you think the creators decided to take off that effect??from Toph's fights??

    Will we see it again??

    Do you want it back??

    Thanks for posting.

That was really only to get the viewer to grasp the concept and recognize who she was. Though, I do admit, it was awesome. =)

Yeah I agree, it was great to see her fight in bullet time, but it was just to understand and illustrate how it was when she fights. If they directors had decided to go slow down the fights in Lake Laogai, for instance, it would have taken way too long considering the amount of foes. We should be seeing it in Aang hopefully as that was the point of Toph being his teacher - opening him to senses beyond sight to maximise his defencive and offensive abilities.

I really hate comparing it to bullet time. That gimmick was the worst part of the Matrix series. I thought the "sight" effect was alright, but as a whole, now unneccesary.

Yeah, they were just trying to get across how Toph was able to 'see' to fight. Now we know, it'd just take up budget.

Well i don't think they do it anymore because it takes up to much time to show it. They need screentime?? for more improtant stuff. And if they did that. It would keep too much attention on toph

I like how straightforward the combat in ATLA is. There is no bullet time, we sledom see "gee whiz" slowdowns, no one stops the action to describe thier abilities (any Kenshin fans should know what I'm referring to), and the pace is usually well maintained. I'd rather they stick with that.

Bad guy: "This is my "cutting you-jitsu!" I use this art and it cuts you!"
Useless ninja girl: "That stance again, Naruto! Be careful, he almost killed you last time...!"
Naruto: "I won't die! I'm gonna beat him using my Dodge-jitsu! BELIEVE IT!"
    *two seconds of action*
    GASP!
    GASP!
    GASP!
Useless Ninja Girl: "He used his dodge-jitsu to dodge the attack and dodged the bad guy to death!"
    Bad Guy: "Dodge...so . . . fast..." *dies*
