??I hate that smile on Jue Dee's face. It creeps me out. I want to see how many people think this too, so if you do say something!

    Somewhat creepy.

1984 is far, far creepier than the Ba Sing Se saga though. The city and the people just seem too normal.

From the episode Lake Lougai I was seriosly screaming "clone! Clone," when my mom came in to see what was wrong I said Joo Dee was a clone, she just rolled her eyes and walked away.

I dunno... I don't think it would have to be a Joo Dee..... if I ran into ANYBODY with that glassy eye look and creepy smile I think I would turn in the opposite direction, very slowly, hit 911 on the cell phone and start to run!??

Joo Dees #1-84 and #88- 1000 scare me, but #85, 86 and 87 are pretty nice once you get to know them.

well, don't forget...there were 3 groups of people living in Oceana just like in Ba Sing Se.
There was the upper class which did a lot of the controling
the middle class which were monitored 24/7 and constantly checked for loyalty
and the lower class which was deemed to unimportant and weak to waste time on so they were allowed some degree of free reign

the same is sort of true for Ba Sing Se
the upper ring is the more important citizens who either take part in the control or are heavily monitored
the middle ring which we have never really seen to much of
and the lower ring which is mostly refugee's and manual laborers.

The Dai Lee couldn't possibly brainwash every citizen in Ba Sing Se, so the lower ring would likely retain more of its individuality. Most of what we have seen in Ba Sing Se has been through Zuko's eyes in the lower ring

Ok what I really want to know is... why are there so many Joo Dees? Are they expecting some 50 more Avatar's to come needing a tour guide?

Not in the show, but in real life, yeah. Imagine. It's a dark stormy night. You're watching tv when there is a flash of lightning and Joo Dee appears in front of you, smiling.

Joo Dee is just a....freak (for lack of a better word). like everyone else here says, I'd be afraid of her in real life, but i'm not in the show.
