Avatar: The Last Airbender: Does Dark Avatar Exist?

Supposedly, Dark Avatar is someone who was born when Aang and his Avatar State anger split. The anger went into another boy, and he turns into the Dark Avatar, and is determined to hunt down Aang and kill him. When he goes into the Avatar State, his tatoos are black.
I didn't make this up, I've heard this going around. DO YOU THINK HE EXISTS?

That's a popular theory made by Gantros on our boards though it does get tiring after awhile.

probably not cause then all the past avatars would have also had dark avatars and roku would have told aang. but he didnt, so no

it could if Aang were to like go through a spirit mirror or something in the Avatar state and be split but its just a fanfic

I've head that an episode in Book 3 is called, "The Barrier of Light and Dark", so, maybe that is when it happens.

Whle I have let up on pushing the theory due to lack of canon circumstances supporting my theory in recent episodes, the Dark Avatar being even a significant character is totally dependant on whether Avatar is given a fourth season. IF the creators are given the greenlight on a fourth season AND they decide to go forward on it, they have to come up with new antagonists and a significant threat to the balance of the world that the post-season 3 Aang cannot handle initially. To me, a "Dark Avatar" fits this role nicely, all the other stuff I've added IS technically fan-fiction, created to connect the dots, but the question of the possibility of a "Dark Avatar" is a valid theory

Dark avatar "theory" has about as much likelyhood of being real as my fan fic, and no one wants to see Aang hanging out back stage drinking a bud and having a smoke.

Lol. Nice one, but it woudln't be like Aang being replaced. Its like he is up against a more powerful enemy than the Fire Lord.

Someone came out with a list of the up coming episodes and one has
"Dark Avatar" in the title so maybe there is. But the whole thing
where the hero a has a dark side is so over done I'm not looking
forward to it.
