I remember back during Season 1 (or was it Season 2? Sorry, it was a long time ago)...anyway, something was coming on Cartoon Network or Disney Channel (again, can't remember which) the same night a new Avatar episode was showing. My little sister really wanted to watch it with me and I was like "sorry, can't. Avatar's on..." It didn't take me very long to debate about it

I did that with the second half of Book 2 when they premiered "Secrets of the Fire Nation" and on Cartoon Network they were showing that Teen Titans movie at the same time. During commercials I would switch over to Teen Titans for a quick second but after a while I called it quits and just kept it on Avatar. I figured since the movie was longer that the Avatar premiere I'll just watch that instead because I wouldn't be satisfied otherwise. For me it was a wise choice, since, not only did they show it again soon after, but, the movie was disappointing.

Really, I hate Disney Channel something terrible. Sorry to any of you loyal viewers of that station but its honestly how I feel. So the only competiton I acknowledge is CN, but, my chances of picking any show on that network over Avatar are slim to none, especially after that movie incident I stated above.

Those networks should be afraid, including Nick. Avatar is bigger than Nick and they know it. I'm pretty sure if accidently turn off the fanbase or even discontinue the show on their network *gasp*... I'm confident that the show would be swooped up in a second (like a corpse to a vulture) by a competing network. That or they would be forced to put it back from the steaming bags of crap that they would get attached to letters from a pissed group of loyal fans.

Sounds like Avatar is dominating. That's what we wanted Shoot, one of my other favorite shows that I really have been watching since it first aired was Malcolm in the Middle. On a Friday night in Dec. 2005, Fox aired a new episode of MITM and I missed it (I've never missed one) because of Avatar's "Secret of the Fire Nation."

Now point being, no one gives a crap about Malcolm anymore since they been in the toilet ever since the boys grew up. So yeah, Avatar does dominated everything.

Yeah, I did that with the Titans movie too.?? Events like this happen all over TV such as how few networks put up key programming against American Idol very much.?? Avatar's audience is so broad that it can whip up on Disney and CN's Friday lineup.?? Most Disney programs are so kid-driven, and even Disney's own commericials for itself make me want to change the channel.?? CN's Friday lineup has not been very innovative in a while.

Friday is a strong day for Avatar to be as it is one of the lowest watched nights in TV for adults in the week.?? It's a good time for it too--it comes just before SciFi'c channel prime lineup and any Friday shows the major networks might be pushing.??

The show's only serious competition (not that they will ever be against each other) would be CN's Saturday night lineup (when it's good) like Naruto, Zach Bell, etc.??

Hah. I did that once with the intro of an episode one time, and scared my dad.

I know what you mean. We scare people at Walmart by doing the same thing...I hear my husband say rather loudly??in his best Mako/Iroh voice..."The lotus tile was in my sleeve the??whole time!" over and over again when he finally finds??things we were looking for while shopping.

The worst is when you get going and start quoting an entire episode and laugh along??the way not even realizing you are doing it.??When??all??our??extended family came over for the holidays we got??all kinds of??blank stares and looks. And a bunch of...

'What's so funny?'??'Why are you laughing so hard?'

"Secret love cave, let's go. Huh?" 'Why is that so frickin' funny?'??

'What the heck is??a 'Foo-Foo Cuddly Poops'?'

I think Avatar is better??than the gargoyles but it is a animation I am fond of! What happened to Gargoyles?

I think that CN could put up a chance against the Avatar if had it had Toonami again on fridays and had it's best anime shows on there. Otherwise it's Fridays lineup could never be compared to Avatar. Shame too. I use to really like CN on Fridays with Toonami and it use to have some of the best shows in my opinion (such as the DBZ Buu saga, Yu Yu Hakusho, some episodes of Code Lyoko, etc). And I think it was the only one channel that had any anime shows at all, before the Avatar came on though.

Disney though douldn't stand a chance in hell against?? the Avatar, WITH ANY LINEUP!!!. Unless a really good movie was coming on and it was going against an Avatar??episode like The Great Divide, then maybe I'll watch it. On second thought I'll stick with The Great Divide episode.

I used to love watching Yu Yu Hakusho, it was good until the tornument was ending. But Avatar in reality has no competition. And I was doing the samething with the Teen Titans movie. But I decided to stick to Avatar.

Disney Channel ain't helping itself with me, not renewing a show I liked a lot American Dragon: Jake Long, and renewing shows like Emperor New School, and The Replacements, and from what I heard their new cartoons LumberJackson and another one I forget the name of, sound awful to me.

Granted none of these shows are in Avatar's class, but I am sad AmDrag is ending,??I loved the whole Jake / Rose story, star crossed lovers, Hannah Montana, Suite Life??love obstiacle is a joke compaired to what stands between Jake and Rose. Anyway??at least they brought back Kim Possible.

Irony here is Dante is on American Dragon: Jake Long, Grey is on The Replacements, once again??Azula wins, Zuko loses. LOL

Yeah I know. The joke makes more sence just referring to the actors that play??Zuko and Azula.

The Jake / Rose situation reminds of Oma and Shu's situation, the couple we hear about in "Cave Of Two Lovers." And the dream charms are like the cave, where they can escape from everyone, and be together.

Well the joke is funny, but I was saying that what a coincidence that Mae and Dante work together as "lovers" and enemies in Avatar.

Me to. I said it is not in Avatar's class. Few shows are, so that is not an insult. Like saying a bastketball player??is not as good as??Michael Jordon.

Some of their better episodes that fans like us love, but (according to the exec. Producers blog)??the Disney Channel execs hated, like "The Academy" or "Breakout" had Avatar type of quality. How dumb are they, to be upset, that it is a little bit like Avatar, a monster hit show? So they rather a show be more like??Suite Life or That's So Raven, instead of Avatar.
