Tomorow night, is suppose to be a big night for Disney Channel, the premere of a new movie Jump In and new tv series Cory In The House.

And I could not help by think, it being on a Friday night, would Disney Channel dare do this up against a new episode of Avatar on Nickelodeon?

Do the competion network Disney Channel and Cartoon Network??consede defeat when it comes to the Avatar timeslot? I would, it is like going up against the Superbowl in the children's tv world. (Avatar has such a deverse audience anyway)

Disney Channel tried to put one of their top shows against Avatar a couple of months ago, when they had marathon that concluded with a new episode of Hannah Montana against a new episode of Avatar (I think it was "The Earth King), and got destroyed in the ratings.

yea most of the stuff on disney channel isnt even in the same ballpark as avatar. the fanbase is so diverse cause u get a lil bit o' everything in the show...humor, love, super cool marital arts, responsibility, POWERS!!!, and a bunch of kids stickin it to the "man". way too hardcore for disney. and i only really like to watch cartoon network at night, adult swim all the way!!!!

Avatar is the Gargoyles of this generation. A show that is suppose to be for kids, but it's audience is so much more. The audience of Avatar to the audience of any other show on the three children's networks, Nickelodoen, Disney Channel, and??Cartoon Network, it is so much bigger.??

it is daunting that there are soo many people of many different ages and backgrounds that LOVE this show. it does a lot for nick. personally i think it is the only thing they have going for them that is new-er. and i also like the teenage muntant ninja turtles. that was a cool show too.

Honestly Disney hasn't been coming out with any good programs lately.?? I remember back in the day?? (90's) when the shows were good but now it's all cheap sitcom like disney shows that fail miserably to be funny. sorry to people who like the disney channel.

So weird was my favorite show in Disney, during the first two seasons. Nothing better has come there since those times.

All I know is, if??Nickelodeon had a??mini marathon of Avatar, that concludes with a new episode premere, it would destroy this Jump In movie and??the Cory??In The Hourse premere.??

Disney Channel is being smart, not to trying to take on Avatar. Didn't High School Musical premere between season 1 and 2 of Avatar?

This is a really good topic and I think you are right. Disney does seem to be re-tooling its Friday night line-up and it would make perfect sense for them to do so to challenge Avatar when the new episodes start airing again on Fridays.

I cannot imagine watching anything else on Friday nights besides Avatar. And although our kids are big Disney fans there is no question where we all are when Avatar is on.

Even now as Avatar comes on everyday at 3:30??p.m. our time,?? there is NO question what we??will all watch even though we have every episode on DVD or on disk from the DVR.

Avatar is Avatar and well, what else??can you say? LOL

I know, I've seen every episode over 5 times and I get excited everytime it comes on. Its fun to say the lines along with the characters at the sametime.

Hah. I did that once with the intro of an episode one time, and scared my dad.

If Jump In and Cory In The House are as bad as it appears, I am sure, there will be people wishing there was a new episode of Avatar tomorow. Fortunitely for me, I have Book 1 on DVD, so if I want, just pop it in the DVD player.

Friday as always been Disney Channel's movie premere night for their original movies. Since Avatar started airing new episodes of Fridays, it has hurt Disney a little bit. And if I was them, I would premere their original movies around the Avatar episode premeres.

I remember back during Season 1 (or was it Season 2? Sorry, it was a long time ago)...anyway, something was coming on Cartoon Network or Disney Channel (again, can't remember which) the same night a new Avatar episode was showing. My little sister really wanted to watch it with me and I was like "sorry, can't. Avatar's on..." It didn't take me very long to debate about it

Soooooooooooooo true... I love Avatar. It is my favorite show, especially cause it has a good story, and I don't think it's "witchcraft".
