How many Avatarians can we nominate for membership in the DOD during the first round on May 25th?
Nominations are limitless. however, only three new DoD are inducted every other month.

I took this to mean that we can nominate as many DOD canidates as we wish during one election?

Does this mean each forum member and/or DOD can nominate one person per election, but as many people who wish to nominate a candidate can do so?

    Is that what that means?

    exactly

if 3457 members come, and decide to nominate an unique individual, than in theory we could have 3457 nominees

Got it. And when round two happens on May 27th, we can only vote for three nominees and then in the final round we can vote for only one candidate?

or in the case of ties, it might be more, one time 2 were tied for 5th, so 6 went to the next round

The first round of voting is on May 27th Wise and in that voting can we vote for more than one nominee?

Ironically, it's much more simpler than the American form of voting.
