Dai Li and The Dragon of the West

    Ok, so I checked before making this, and didn't find anything. With that said, here we go. In the last episode, "The Earth King", one of the Earth King's gererals interupts the gang's meeting??to bring news on files he found in Long Fengs office. He??said that Long Feng had secret files on??everyone in the city. What if he knew who Iroh, Zuko, or both really were.

    they probably would have found them by now, if he had some files that is.

    he is really sneaky and the dai lee are still loyal to long feng, i am not sure that they would have allowed iroh to become owner of a new tea shop in the upper ring had they known about their real identies. plus, since they are working soooo hard at keeping the war out of ba sing se, meaning no wanted posters, what other reason would they have for arresting them??

    when they said files on everyone in the city I'm pretty sure they meant only the people worth checking on, basically the more influential people in the upper and maybe middle ring.

    I highly doubt the Dai Li would take the time to create files for every one of the millions of refugees pouring into Ba Sing Se.

    actually this could be more realistic than you think, remember the whole hassle they had at the train depot in Serpents pass.

    even Iroh had to pull out his pai sho piece ( trump card ) to get the proper fake I.D.'s?? to get in.

    Iroh has more tricks than the entire Dai Li orgnaization. I have no doubt he'd be able to stay three steps ahead of them even if they knew he was there.

    yeah, he got his fake ID from the white Lotus society, and since everything is in order they haven't had any problems other than Jet since being in the city, even if word of a guy with a fake ID got to the Dai Li I doubt they would pay it any mind...there are how many people in the lower ring, how many of them do you think also might have had forged documentation. For now I think Iroh and Zuko would be safe from them

    This of course could all change now that they are moving to the upper ring, they could be more tightly observed and a fake ID at that point would bring a lot more suspicion. Then again, the Dai Li are probably more concerned about taking back their power right now than a teamaker with a fake ID

    yeah... and if they do have secret files on them then all they would say is that they are two refugees named lee and mushi who are good at making tea... there isn't much of a way that the dai lee would know... unless some military general recognizes him from the siege i think hes pretty safe

    Dude there is a simple answer to this. Iroh and Zuko are living under different names with different jobs, homes and identities. Of course the Dai Li probably knows that they're there, but the only have the info that's possible to know, like I said.

    Based on the picture in this thread it does look like he is being attacked by them.?? I think though that Long Feng has been in league with the FN.?? The reason why is because BSS is the last city of the EN to be standing.?? Iroh failed to conquer it and I think Ozai wants it badly.?? So what better way than to take it down from the inside??? Ozai probably offered the Dai Lee; money, control over the city, and freedom from their persecution if he would take control of the King.?? It is an old method of Ninjitsu.?? Lure your pray into a false sense of security and when their guard is truly down then you attack.?? Why do you think that the king knew nothing about the war with the FN?
